I work from home part time as a medical editor, so I have plenty of time to play with dogs! My own dogs get treats and love all day long! I often work on the floor or the bed so I can play with the dogs and they can easily get to me for snuggles! If I do have to leave the pups home, I have a Furbo camera that I plug in to keep an eye on them.

Safety, trust & environment

I try to stick to the dog's regular schedule as much as possible to keep them comfortable. I love taking photos (my phone is 99% dog photos) and will send you pics, videos, and updates as often as you'd like! As a dog mom myself, I understand how hard it is to leave them, so I don't mind if you want tons of updates every day or if you check in with me all the time! I want you to feel comfortable and confident leaving your dogs in my care. *****Please note: Due to several spinal surgeries, I cannot walk large dogs that pull on the leash.*****

Information Lindsay P. would like to know about your pet

Do they have any triggers/fears/peculiar behaviors? What makes them happiest? What’s their usual schedule at home? Do they have any allergies? (One of my dogs is allergic to chicken and eggs, but if your dog eats those ingredients, I don’t mind!) Do they bark a lot? Or at anything in particular? Are they neutered/spayed? I cannot accept male dogs who aren’t neutered. Is there anything else you’d like me to know about your pup?

A typical day

A typical day involves a greenie right after the morning potty break, breakfast, an afternoon nap with me and my pups, dinner, lots of playtime, and lots of snuggles! I don't crate dogs unless their parents request it or for safety reasons. I also love teaching dogs new tricks! My dogs know a ton and would be happy to show your pup how to do them! I also have several treat puzzles and a fenced-in yard. The pups are free to run around the yard multiple times a day (always closely supervised) or whenever they ask to go out.

Dog whisperer to spoil your pups!!

Pet care experience

I just moved from Boston, where I had the most amazing group of regulars!! I'd love to build a new group of regulars here in Connecticut! I am an experienced dog-sitter providing drop-ins, boarding, housesitting, and daycare. I am able to care for many special needs such as dogs that are easily spooked, have reactivity concerns, have health issues (including seizures), need medications, and have injuries. My pups are excellent at making other dogs feel right at home. I've even had regular clients who don't like anybody except their mom and me! A bit about my experience with dogs: I've been around dogs since the day I was born. I love dogs of all sizes, and they all seem to love me! I can't imagine life without dogs! I currently have three small ones, Kirby, Galinda, and Pascal. I also have experience with elderly dogs, anxious dogs, special medical needs, and with administering medication. One of my dogs had major hip surgery 2 years ago, requiring months of physical therapy, so I’m also able to keep up with physical therapy exercises if your dog requires those as well! I will treat your pup like my own! This means snuggles, treats, brushing their fur if needed or wanted, playing, field trips to the dog store, trips to the beach, walks in the park, driving through Starbucks for pup-cups, anything else they love to do, and all the love!! I have also successfully won the hearts of many fearful, nervous dogs who have previously struggled with humans other than their own. My friends call me the “dog whisperer”! I’m always happy to meet more than once before the stay so your dog has time to warm up to me. Since I have my own dogs, I completely understand the struggle of finding a reliable, trustworthy, loving sitter who your dog(s) will feel comfortable with. If you want updates all the time, I don't mind! I am the same way when I leave my babies. Feel free to reach out with any questions! *****If you are requesting housesitting, please know that I have to bring my 3 dogs with me. We've done it many times before, so they're used to it and know how to be good guests. I find that dogs tend to not even care their humans have left when my pups are over! Pet parents have sent me pictures after I've left of their dogs waiting at the door for my dogs to come back!*****

Lindsay is such a kind sitter with whom we always feel comfortable trusting with our senior golden retriever. She follows direction for feeding, medicine, and making sure he is safe when she leaves.
