Safety, trust & environment

I treat all dogs that I care for as I treat my own fur baby, as if they were my children. I ensure that they are walked, fed, entertained, given medication as needed, and have restful sleep each evening (whether it is with me in bed, in their pet bed, or in their crate) every day. People have a tendency of saying that my dog Maggie is always smiling! I will ensure that yours will too when in my care!!

A typical day

I love taking my own pooch, Maggie, and any of her friends I am taking care of at the time to the beach, park, or just on a walk around d Daniel Island! I love playing fetch, hide and seek, and playful silly time, and of course lots of I love to snuggle and give plenty of “rubbies” with the pooches that I am taking care of!

Pet care experience

What sets me apart from other sitters is my happy and positive attitude: no one wants a grumpy, pessimistic pet sitter. I am adaptable as I am always prepared for unplanned events and last-minute changes. As I am a caretaker by nature, I show genuine concern for the well-being of pets. I am responsible and trustworthy by being reliable and honest. I have a wealth of pet sitting experience. I also have experience working with pets that have medical issues or behavioral challenges. And lastly, I am sensitive and understanding. I understand the needs and concerns of pet owners.

I scheduled Lindsay to walk my dog for 30 minutes. I received notice that she started the walk on time but received no photos or communication. 10 minutes AFTER the walk was supposed to end, I messaged her asking how it went—She said she hadn’t arrived yet and was stuck in traffic! BTW she lives only 5 minutes from my house. If she was stuck in traffic coming from somewhere else, a head’s up would have been nice. I then called her and she said she’d accidentally double booked appointments (I thought you were stuck in traffic?). She said to make it up, she’d walk him for 45 minutes (instead of 30) . But just 15 minutes later I got a notification that the walk was over. I thought this was a mistake, so I asked her how far she walked him—no response. After a half hour, I called her to see what was going on and she had a snarky response. When I checked the GPS tracker, it shows she’d only walked a couple hundred feet. Overall, I’m certain she just forgot about the booking, and it felt like I was inconveniencing her to follow through with her commitment. Oh, and lastly, she didn’t even lock up when she left, despite that I noted this in the instructions beforehand. And despite the fact that she specifically told me she did lock up. Very unprofessional.

Lindsay is definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it was my first time using a dog sitter so I was a little nervous. My boxer can be a handful sometimes but she did a great job! She was nice, gave him his medicine and she didn’t mind me checking up on him while I was gone. I wouldn’t feel comfortable having anyone else watch him if I had to.

Lindsay was my dog sitter for 4 years before she moved to South Carolina a year ago. She is cheerful, dependable, and most importantly, caring! I had always been nervous about leaving my dog with someone else when I had to be away from home, but that changed when I hired Lindsay! I knew that my fur baby, Sophie, would be in good hands!! Sophie and I miss her greatly as I still haven’t found a pet sitter as good as her, don’t think I ever will .
