Experienced Pet Sitter

Thank you for visiting my profile! I love dogs! No Chihuahuas. I have a daughter who also loves dogs. Any dog who comes will have the run of the house and yard and get loved on. I have a doggy door; they can go outside whenever they want. No Chihuahuas. Dogs must be completely potty trained. I have a 4.5-foot chain link fence; if your dog can climb or jump it, please look elsewhere. Dogs who jump fences also run faster than me and I will not be able to catch them. No chihuahuas. I am currently accepting non-aggressive dogs. If your dog is at all aggressive or has anxiety, please find another sitter. I know your chihuahua is different. They all say that. I am sorry, no chihuahuas. Nothing mixed with a chihuahua please. Missouri seems to have a lot more dogs with anxiety or aggression than any other place I have lived. As I want my home to be safe for everyone, aggressive dogs get put in a dog pin or a bedroom. Some of them have eaten my carpet, walls or doors and I don't want to deal with that. So please no dogs with anxiety and no aggressive dogs. Definitely no chihuahuas. I leave two spots open every day so that I can take siblings if needed. Most of the time, I wind up with two dogs from different households. If your dog loves to be with others, he is welcome! I have met several people in Missouri who want their dog to be the only one here. If that is you, please look elsewhere. There will be at least one more dog here when you come. Also, no chihuahuas. I am an experienced dog walker and dog sitter. Currently, I am just dog-sitting in my home. I have had dogs my whole life, and I have home-sat more dogs than I can count. I love every dog! Except chihuahuas, anyway. They are not real dogs. I also love how every dog has a very unique personality with quirks! I love getting to know so many different personalities! I have been with Rover for several years. I lived in Oregon for five years, where I began offering services with Rover. I moved to Missouri at the beginning of the pandemic and have loved getting to know all of the Missouri pups! I am excited to get to know your furry child! Thank you for visiting my page. I work during the weekdays while school is in session. I also work most Saturdays year-round. Please be flexible for pickup and drop-off times. Mostly drop off/pick up before 7:30 am or after 3:30 pm. I have a chain-link fenced yard. It is 4.5 feet. It is perfect for dogs who do not know how to climb or jump. The only species that can fit through the gaps weigh less than five pounds (squirrels). As long as your dog can be safe in my yard, I would love to watch her! Once I had a corgi of my own who thought he was a cat. If you have one of those, please find another sitter. I have a dog door to my back porch that allows dogs to come and go as they please. Most dogs figure out the door. Sometimes they never figure it out, which is fine, there are humans around to let them out the big door. A very small handful of times, I have sat a dog who snaps after being here a few days and tries to attack another dog. If they do this, they are put either in a pen or in a room. They are annoyed by that, but it keeps all the other dogs safe. Thank you for reading my page! Again, real dogs only, no chihuahuas.

Lindsay was very responsive and helpful! I’m sure our dog had a great time staying with her and getting to play outside because he came home very tired. Would definitely let our pup stay with Lindsay again!

This was one of our dogs third stay with Lindsay and she is the best. We have an another very shy dog who just did wonderfully with Lindsay. Each day Lindsay sends pictures with a little bit about what your dog did that day. The pictures are really comforting to kids that are missing their pets. I cannot say enough good things about the care Lindsay gives.

We are blessed we found lindsay as our river girl. Scooby is not the easiest dog and he just loves going over there. Her daughter is scoobys best friend they have so much fun with each other sometimes I think Scooby likes it at their house more than ours

We have left our Goldendoodle with Lindsay twice. Lindsay takes great care of Daisy and sends updates and pictures. I don’t have to worry about Daisy at all when she is with Lindsay. Highly highly recommend.

I am currently a side-hustle queen. While school is in session, I start work as soon as the bus gets here. I am in and out all day with all my different hustles. When I am here, I am at my computer, and my lap is open for cuddles.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a 4.5-foot chain link fence. I have a miniature schnauzer. He exercises all the dogs and then comes in and naps until they are tired, then he makes them go run around again. Most dogs come home exhausted. Most of the neighbors have dogs. While barking is normal and accepted, the neighbor with the most dogs has called the cops on me for extreme barkers. If you have an extreme barker, a bark collar will be placed on him to keep the cops away.

A typical day

Your dog will have free range of my upstairs and backyard while staying with me! We have a dog door to allow all dogs to go outside whenever the feeling strikes. They all want to mark downstairs, so I leave a doggy gate at the top of my stairs to stop that. We are a family of two female humans and one miniature schnauzer. Hopefully, your dog is okay with female grown-ups and a special needs kiddo. I marked kids 6-12, because that is her mentality, but she is 14. Also, I understand marking is normal. Occasional marking happens, but if your dog is not potty-trained, please don't bring him. Please be honest with me. I had to send one dog home after two hours because her parents said she was potty-trained. Not only was she not potty trained, but she also attacked me when I tried to put her outside. I assume her parents had to cancel the vacation because they were just about to leave. Several more were also not potty-trained, but didn't attack, and I had to raise my rates because of dishonest parents. On to the fun stuff! All of our neighbors have dogs and I have witnessed many neighborhood watch meetings, and occasional races. All the dogs appear to be friendly with each other. Please bring your leash, we love to go for walks! We have a very walker-friendly neighborhood and are close to the beautiful Spencer Creek Park. Our current foster dog does not understand how to go for walks, but we may try to sneak your dog out without him knowing. I like to give out treats when the dogs do something extra special, so please let me know if there are any allergies or if treats are not okay. Dogs are allowed on furniture, please let me know if this is not okay and I will do my best to stop your dog from disobeying their own home rules. We have communal water as most dogs insist on drinking out of the same bowl, but please bring your own dog food. I'd hate for a dog to get sick due to a switch in food. We also love to play and cuddle with the dogs. We have lots of dog toys here, but if there is something your dog just can't live without, please bring it. If your dog has never been away from you, please bring something that smells like you for security. Most dogs I have sat have been very happy to be in the pack, but sometimes a rare doggo needs alone time. We have several places where dogs can go if they need that space to decompose from all the fun. We also have a couple of baby gates and a dog pen if they are needed. We have stairs. If your dog has a hard time with them, I can carry her up and down if she will tolerate me helping. Thank you for reading, I look forward to getting to know you and your dog!

Please let me know if your dog can be safe in my home. Please let me know of any allergies or special needs. Please let me know if your dog isn't okay with having treats. I enjoy rewarding the dogs on occasion, I wouldn't want to give a treat that might upset a stomach. The questions I will have before we can meet will be "can your dog jump or climb a 4.5 foot fence? Does your dog have anxiety? Has your dog ever been aggressive with humans or other dogs?" Yes to any of these and I will not be able to sit your dog. Currently, the only breeds on my naughty list are Jack Russel Terriers and Chihuahuas. Too many of those two kinds have caused severe problems. Other breeds are hit and miss.
