I am a CPDT-KA certified, positive reinforcement dog trainer, and have worked in the professional pet care world for close to 20 years, with a lifetime love and heart for animals. I have spent the last few years doing private training lessons for dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages and breeds. I specialize in basic training, puppy training, family transitions (new baby, move, etc) as well as Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog training. Prior to that I worked for 7 years with a wonderful training group in the suburbs of Detroit where I not only taught and assisted with a variety of classes, I also worked in their dog walking and pet sitting department. In addition to that, my work history ranges from veterinary clinics, horse farms, dog daycares as well as shelter work and beyond. From a very young age I was drawn to and connected to animals and time always flew when I was beside them. I was that kid that would find stray cats to bring home, would knock on neighbors' doors and ask if I could walk their dog for free, and traded barn work for horse lessons as a young teen. I am so blessed to be working in a field that doesn't feel like work!!
