I am a CPDT-KA certified, positive reinforcement dog trainer, and have worked in the professional pet care world for close to 20 years, with a lifetime love and heart for animals. I have spent the last few years doing private training lessons for dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages and breeds. I specialize in basic training, puppy training, family transitions (new baby, move, etc) as well as Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog training. Prior to that I worked for 7 years with a wonderful training group in the suburbs of Detroit where I not only taught and assisted with a variety of classes, I also worked in their dog walking and pet sitting department. In addition to that, my work history ranges from veterinary clinics, horse farms, dog daycares as well as shelter work and beyond. From a very young age I was drawn to and connected to animals and time always flew when I was beside them. I was that kid that would find stray cats to bring home, would knock on neighbors' doors and ask if I could walk their dog for free, and traded barn work for horse lessons as a young teen. I am so blessed to be working in a field that doesn't feel like work!!

I honestly believe my house was cleaner than when I left. The dogs are always happy when we return. I truly value Lindsay's communication, pleasant personality, and attention she gives to our dogs.
Lindsay did a great job taking care of our two dogs. He sent several pictures while we were away for the weekend. She did great communicating. I hope that she is available to take care of our dogs again.

Lindsay is awesome! Not only has she walked our energetic puppy (who can sometimes be like a metal detector going side to side on walks), but she has given us multiple training tips when we needed help with things like nail trimming, whining, water spills, and adjusting to having a puppy & a newborn baby. She definitely knows her stuff & definitely loves the doggos (and all animals)! If you need someone who is caring, trustworthy, responsible, and dependable, Lindsay is the one for you!
Lindsay is wonderful! She is so calm and so sweet and does such a great job! She helped train my Mom’s dog and watched her while my Mom went on vacation. Joey (the dog) was so at ease with Lindsay. I can’t say enough about the kind of person she is. I would 100% trust her with my pets or my kids!
Fred and Ginger my maltipoos love Lindsay, she took excellent care of them while we were out of town! Getting them back happy and content is the best you can hope for, thank you so much Lindsay for taking such good care of my fur babies!!

Schedule
I am a full time mom and wife and part time dog trainer. I am happy to fit your pets' care into my daily routine and family's schedule. Please know my availability generally is around my kids' school schedule. My kids are very respectful and animal savvy, so if you are okay with them tagging along, that often opens up my availabilty more.

I have cared for as well as owned a variety of animals with varying needs over the years. I understand and empathize the stress that can occur from having to leave your pet in the hands of someone else. I strive to make sure your pet is cared for with their individual needs, with lots of love, and most importantly your peace of mind while you are away for a day, a week, or longer. I treat my clients' pets with tender love and care like they were my own, just like how I would want my own pet to be cared for.

A typical day
I'm more than happy to play a game of fetch, take a nice nature walk, or find a fun way to burn off energy indoors if weather isn't cooperating. Let me know if your pet has a favorite activity. Belly rubs and ear scratches are always included :-)
