Safety, trust & environment

We have two dogs that play well with most dogs but am as careful as I can be with leash one on one introductions first. I try to ensure a good or relaxed time for your pet and consider age and personality with each 1st time visitor.

Home

Lives on a farm/ranch
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 3 dogs
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Linda S. would like to know about your pet

Your dog will need to be UTD on vaccines and flea free. I would like to know if they are social, anxious, chewers, jumpers, food/toy aggressive, diggers etc. Our yard fencing is all lined with no dig wire. It is 4' high so if you have a particularly athletic dog this may not be a fit for a mischievous jumper (even though dogs are supervised for yard play). The focus is to ensure SAFETY! I have specific drop off and pick up times and would like to be given a 1 -2 hour window between 9-5pm and ask people to respect there are reasons for this and/or to plan or ask ahead. Normally take 3-4 dogs at a time but am open to discuss each booking and individual needs.

A typical day

Dogs are let out first thing for a quick potty break or play before morning feeding and again right after. I have plenty of leashes, bowls and toys and prefer NOT to have things that could get lost or wrecked other than a special blanket or toy that stays with your dog at night. Weather permitting dogs will be let out to play at least 5 times per day, fed up to three times and settled for the night at 10/10:30 My dog room is camera monitored so I can check on dogs without disturbing quiet times.

Pet care experience

Hello, People have described my place as a boutique pet hotel. I am proud of the comfortable accommodations to keep your pets safe and happy. I joined Rover in 2021 but am not at all new to pet care. I welcome S/M dogs and will take on some geriatric, or special needs pets. Non spayed or neutered adult dogs willing to discuss. Occasionally I will accommodate larger dogs if they are docile, social and calm and no other little dogs booked in. Please know that the Rover rate shows $53.00. Rover used to add their fee after booking but now attach direct to the sitters fees - they collect from both ends. I earn 37.60 of that 53.00 Enter Promo Code LINDAS79804 on your 1st Rover booking to receive $20 off! Our set up is best described as in home kennel care with a monitored cozy dog room at night that is part of our home, Dogs are penned in their own space for feeding or quiet time, or if they have a chew treat to avoid any doggie conflicts. Dogs quickly become comfortable with a routine of 4+ social playtimes in a safe comfortable environment. . There are 3 separate play yards. A lifelong dog lover/owner, I have worked at kennels, the SPCA and taken an owners veterinary course as well as assisted with obedience classes in the past. I am home full time on our farm and enjoy dog sitting. Will occasionally do nearby home visits within 10km or charge additional out of zone. Email and text updates are given on request (within reason) for your peace of mind. My #1 goal is to keep your pet(s) safe and happy! On that note, I do require dogs to be within 2 years of vaccination or titer tested with appropriate forms to show. Any past due boosters must be given 2 weeks prior to coming here. I also ask your dog is on a flea program to keep my premises clear of them and to ensure nothing is passed along to the next visitor.

We felt very comfortable leaving Molly with Linda while we were travelling. We had a visit with her before the actual booking and Molly looked very comfortable in her surroundings. Linda sent us a number of pictures of Molly playing with her new friends and gave us updates on how she was doing. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone and would bring Molly back again in the future.

For the second time, we feel incredibly satisfied and happy with Linda’s service. We never have to worry while we’re away because we know that our dog, Tobii, is being well taken care of. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Highly recommended!

We felt so comfortable leaving our Labradoodle, Bear, with Linda. She has the perfect setup. A cozy place in the house to sleep, plenty of protected space to run and play, and lots of human and canine companions to keep Bear happy. We were happy with the communication and confident that we would come home to a happy and well taken care of dog. Thank you Linda! We will definitely recommend your service to others.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I’m always worried about leaving my dog with anyone because he’s very active and can be stubborn at times. However, when I met Linda and saw the place, I immediately felt comfortable and at peace. Linda is such a kind and sweet person. She kept me updated even when I didn’t ask, which I truly appreciated. She’s very gentle, and it’s clear that she’s experienced in taking great care of dogs. I will definitely contact her again if we need dog care in the future. She was also so thoughtful to give us a Christmas ornament. Thank you so much, Linda!
