I have never NOT had a dog (or 2 or 3.) I've raised them, trained them and bred them. The breeds I've owned are Beagles, Doxies and Labs. I'm the trusted caregiver for my family, friends and neighbors beloved pets. It seems like there is always an extra furry thing around here. My husband and I are retired and home most of the the time. I'm not inclined to take in aggressive dogs, ones that are destructive, escape artists or dogs that are not spayed or neutered. We like a loving and peaceful household. Dogs that are house trained and doggie door trained fit our needs quite well. Our guests have 24 hour house and yard access. Males that are squatters as opposed to leg lifters are appreciated. The furniture and the plants appreciate it as well. Please be 'flea free'. We have a pool. It is fenced in and secure. We prefer to take just 2 'guests' at a time (unless they're in the same family) so each one gets max attention from us. They will get lots of pets and belly rubs. Our grandchildren come by once in a while after school. They have 3 devoted dogs of their own and know how to love and cherish them. While we do not promote couch/bed surfing we do have designated pieces of furniture which are dog friendly and we have been known to share our bed on occasion. :-) Our own dog has gotten the best love, the best food and the best care from us.
