Our Spike Wants To Meet Your Pooch!
We are a retired couple and we love dogs. Your best friend will never be left alone. With 35 years of personal experience caring for dogs and livestock we can promise safe, loving care for your best friend(s). We even make Spike’s treats! James was a rancher specializing in Bassett Hounds, Horses, Donkeys and Mules and had up to 10 dogs at a time at his ranch. 2023 marks his 36th year clean and sober.

This was Blu’s second stay. He was so happy to be visiting again, I left feeling no guilt. 🙂 James and Linda treat him like part of the family. And he enjoys playing in the yard with their dog.
Linda and James went above and beyond to make sure our Aussiedoodle spent a good 9 days with them and their dog Spike. Blu has been known to be a bit anxious with others. They blew way past that barrier in their relationship with him. We got daily pics, videos, and updates which made us enjoy our trip even more. Blu got to spend tons of time playing with Spike in their good-sized backyard, Linda and James also played fetch, and gave him lots of tender attention. Blu's stellar report card is due to the home they made for him. We will definitely book a stay with Linda and James when we cannot travel with Blu.
10/10. James and Linda were kind and attentive caretakers for our dog, Betty. They have an incredible setup that allowed Betty and their dog, Spike, to run around and play outside. Spike is one of the friendliest and sweetest dogs we’ve ever met! James, Linda, and Spike are without a doubt our #1 choice for Betty.
Gave frequent updates with photos and took great care of my dog, couldn’t recommend them more.
On of the best boarding experiences my dog has had. James & Linda made sure we were constantly updated on how the dogs were doing and shared inages and videos of their activities. I own a blue heeler with very high energy and they made sure she had more than enough excercise (ball fetch, playing with thier dog Spike etc). They really made my trip
Linda & James was fantastic! Not only did they give me updates throughout the day on how my pup was doing. They sent photos & videos which was nice to see how she was adjusting to everything. I would absolutely let them babysit her again!

Schedule
Our Spike is a three year old Boxer Labridoodle and requires a lot of exercise. He's looking forward to playtime and settling in with your best friend.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced backyard. Our Spike is very active, super friendly and loves to chase and be chased. We can accommodate senior dogs as well. Requirements: 1. Cannot accommodate aggressive dogs. 2. Dogs must have all vaccinations including kennel cough. 3. A meet and greet prior to booking is mandatory.
Pets
A typical day
We have a large dog park next to the Harpeth River. We also have a large fenced back yard and will play lots of games with your dog and help him or her run off some of that pent up energy they all have. I have also started grooming our dog Spike and would be happy to give your pet a good brushing as long as they're not aggressive.
