Pet care experience

Grr-ific Pet Care! 💕

Hi! I'm Linda and I've been with Rover for almost 10 years on and off. I’ve taken care of pups and kits all the way to seniors. I’ve handled meds, ramps, brushes, ear drops, inhalers, puppy pads, cbd, crates, you name it. I love seeing pets grow over time with my repeat clients. My primary concern is making sure that your pet is safe, happy, and comfortable! I'd love to care for your fur baby :)

This is our second time leaving our dog with Linda. Linda and her parents have been amazing both times taking care of our dog. He seems very at ease and relaxed with them. Linda provides consistent communication and updates, and is very responsive. We 100% recommend her for your pet sitting needs.

We were able to have an amazing trip knowing our fur baby was in amazing hands! Linda kept us updated everyday and sent us photos and videos of our Draco. HUGE thank you to Linda and her family for welcoming Draco into their home and giving him lots of love and the best care while we were gone.

Linda and her family took great care of our dog, Ghost. She provided daily updates with pictures and videos. Our dog seems to have had a blast. He seemed to have felt right at home with Linda and her family. Linda was very attentive and responsive. I truly recommend her as a sitter.

Schedule

I started Rover as a regular traveling sitter in Los Angeles and moved to TX to be with family in June ‘23. In addition to Rover, I work in the mornings (part time) as a kennel technician at a small local animal clinic, where I also take care of pets! I live with my parents at the moment, and they're both retired, so someone is always at home and it’s quiet in our family environment. They will be under constant supervision with play and potty often, and will not be placed in a kennel/crate unless it’s part of your regular routine. If I read your message/ instructions and think it may not be a good fit for whatever reason, I will let you know upon booking request so that you can find someone else asap. I do not book multiple rover clients in one day, but am open to clients with multiple pets within the same household.

Safety, trust & environment

I usually talk to owners beforehand, because they know their pets better. We talk about what they're comfortable with (if they're ok with being around other dogs/cats or people, if they need time before trusting, if they're scared of anything or not trained, what their style of play is). I try to follow the schedule and habits the owners specify since that causes the least disruption. If there's any toys, leashes, beds and food you'd like to bring I'd be happy to use it! It’ll definitely make the stay less stressful for your pets to have some familiar smells around. Our house has a fenced backyard and room to run around, and a/c and heat indoors so we can hang out and play either inside or outside!

A typical day

I can take the dogs out for a walk to get mental simulation from new smells and a bit of exercise, but we also have a backyard and can let them out whenever so they don't have to rush for potty. We have a trail right across from us that makes for the perfect walk, and a park nearby!

I would like to know about any allergies that your pet may have, injuries or meds that I should know about, and emergency contacts (preferably vet number and your number) in case something goes wrong. Better to be safe than sorry! We are close to a vet clinic as well. I also would like to know about any relevant problems he or she might have, just so that I'm more prepared (for example, if a dog is skittish or aggressive towards other dogs or humans. I have had dogs like that before and it's totally ok! We just figure out how to handle the situation as needed (crossing the street, avoiding kids etc).) and finally just logistics like supplies and pickup times. Looking forward to hearing from you! :)
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass an identity verification. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
