Pet care experience

Flexible, experienced and licensed home boarder

Dog sitting at my home: I have had a number of dogs as pets and also fostered a lot of different dog breeds when I volunteered and worked for Wood Green Animal Shelter. I live with my partner Craig and am fully licensed with Huntingdon District Council to provide home boarding for dogs. I currently don't have any pets but enjoy spending time with dogs and especially making sure they are happy as possible when they are away from their owners. I usually only take one booking at a time but am happy to board or provide daycare for two dogs from the same household. I am used to looking after older dogs. Dog Walking: I feel this is a very important activity for a dog to keep it happy and healthy and love doing it. A walk should be interesting and safe for the dog. I have a lot of years of experience of dog walking with my own pets, fostered dogs and whilst working at Wood Green Animal Shelter.

Linda was absolutely fantastic! Our dog Olive stayed with her for the morning, and she had the best time. Olive takes some time to settle, but Linda made her feel immediately relaxed and at home which was lovely. We also received regular photos and updates of Olive enjoying herself, which really gave us peace of mind. I can’t recommend her enough!

I took Maggie for a trial with Linda and she was wonderful. Very welcoming and reassuring. She sent lots of photos to show me that Maggie was settling Ok. I would definitely use Linda in the future.

Our dog Miro has stayed with Linda on multiple occasions and we know he always has a lovely time. He loves his walks and meeting the other people and dogs in her neighbourhood. Linda is very tuned in to Miro’s needs and making sure he settles in 🙏 😊

Foxy had an over night stay last night. Total success. Linda is so calm, my dog is scared of her own shadow and ran straight to Linda and Craig wagging her tail super excited when I dropped her off. I’ve never left her before but now have zero concerns about leaving her whilst we go on holiday. Thanks so much it means the world to me she is so happy in your home.

I’m sure if our dog Miro could talk he’d say how much he enjoyed another lovely stay with Linda and Craig. He comes back really relaxed and I’d recommend Linda always as she’s so tuned into the needs of Miro.

My dog foxy went for her first 3hr visit and I have never felt so reassured. I got regular texts and photos to reassure me foxy was fine and settling down. Linda has a natural ability with foxy with her calm voice and years of experience. I would 100% recommend her to anyone and I’m looking forward to foxy going for her over night stay .

Schedule

I love a walk in the morning and in the afternoon. If this is with a dog that's even better. If a dog or dogs are staying I am around all the time for company and toilet breaks. I can provide home boarding during the week and at weekends.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a large, fenced garden. If a dog feels happy to sleep in the bedroom at night this is fine with me. I think that exercise, playing and lots of fun is great alongside periods of rest and napping.

A typical day

There are a variety of places to walk close to me including amenity grassland and woodland. Depending on the dog, walks would last 30mins to an hour and half. We would also play in my garden which is quite large and fenced.

The dog's age and whether s/he has been left before. How s/he is feed and any activities the dog enjoys or doesn't like to do. Any food intolerances. How the dog feels about other dogs. What the owner allows the dog to do (go on the furniture etc.) I will also need to see your dog's vaccination certificate on the first day s/he stays and know his/her last date of flea and worm treatment. I'll also need to record his/her microchip number and your address. Most of this information is usually on the vaccination card.
