I’d love to love your pet!
Hi my name is Lily and I am an avid animal lover! I am an experienced professional dog walker and pet sitter. I have worked professionally for a local dog walking and pet sitting company in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia and this was easily my favorite job ever! I love the canine companionship and have been a dog owner and care giver since I was very young. I have grown up around dogs (very big and very small) and always loved helping my family raise our dogs throughout childhood and into raising my own cat and dogs for the past 20+ years. I have a small chihuahua named Lola who I rescued from the Richmond VA SPCA 11 years ago. She's very sweet and loves play dates with other dogs but never minds hanging back at home with the rest of her pack. She enjoys shorter walks in her senior years and can often be found soaking up the sun and recharging in the backyard in the warmer months. For six years Lola had a close chi companion named Paco who I rescued from Tennessee in 2020 who is unfortunately no longer with us. He sadly lost his battle with congestive heart failure in January 2026 and Lola and I miss him so much everyday. In Paco's early rescue months it took a lot of time and compassion for him to open up into the sweet boy he was. He lived a very happy and fulfilled life until the end. Helping him blossom into the best, most perfect chi, was easily one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Lola and I have settled in South Burlington, Vermont and despite the cold winter months, we love our new home! In addition to being a professional dog walker and pet sitter with Barksley back in Virginia, I have also provided pet care for my friends and families fur babies for many years now. I am naturally an active person and love going on long walks in the neighborhood or just hanging out in the yard playing fetch. Do you love the dog park? I do too! I have great doggie transportation with ample room in the back of my Subaru Forester for your pup to relax in if the adventure takes us on the road. Your pet will be sure to be in the best hands with me on any adventure we go on and I look forward to playing fetch with them in the future!

Lily was awesome!!
They were super responsive and able to watch my dog at the last minute. In addition, they were definitely very attentive to his needs and took him for both a long walk in the woods and set up a play date for him. I would highly recommend and definitely use them if I’m in the area again.
Frannie always has a blast hanging out with Lily and her sweet pups!
Lily was so easy to work with and was amazing with my tiny Chihuahua. My dog has some separation anxiety and does not always warm up to new people, but she fit right in with Lily and her her 2 pups. She sent super cute pics over the week, and gave my dog a loving home. Would definitely use her again!! Thanks for being amazing Lily!
Our dog Frances had a great stay with Lily! Lily was communicative throughout our booking and was very accommodating w/ scheduling pickup/drop off times. Lola and Paco are so sweet, too! We'd definitely book again with Lily.
Lily was an exceptional dog sitter. Our dog felt right at home with her and her pups. She got plenty of exercise and love and we most certainly ask her to watch our dog if we leave town. Thanks Lily!

Schedule
As a long time dog owner Iv always kept a daily routine based around caring for my pets. That usually means early mornings letting the pups out and feeding them before getting the day started. We always go on our daily dog walk and on the weekends my pups love an adventure outdoors.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a Petcube camera and baby gates that keep my pups safe while I’m away. We allow our pets on the furniture and love snuggling up to them. They also have many beds available for snuggling if they want as well. We keep fresh water available in multiple spots throughout the house. When I’m dog sitting or boarding I make sure to ask the owner what their pet prefers in terms of a bed or crate. I also make sure to get any information on feeding and potty breaks, or any other funny quirks I would need to know about your fur baby! While boarding dogs, I make sure to check in on the pet cube camera if i ever need to spend any amount of time away.

A typical day
I love going on long walks in any neighborhood and nature area. I also have great transportation and can take your dog anywhere you please whether it be down the street, to the dog park, or on a short hike in the woods. I love to play fetch and a nice sunny roam around in the back yard never gets old!
