I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and a strong background in animal care through my work at a veterinary clinic and my continued work with SR3 (SeaLife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research) as an intern and animal husbandry volunteer. These experiences have given me hands-on experience caring for animals, monitoring behavior, following medical care routines, and understanding the importance of patience, safety, and individualized care. I have experience caring for a wide variety of animal species, including dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, chickens, ducks, frogs, fish, horses, seals, seal pups, and sea lions. My background has taught me how to recognize different animal behaviors, provide species-specific care, and adapt to each animal’s unique needs. I also have long-term clients that I regularly walk dogs for and have provided pet sitting and home care for while they are away. I understand how important it is to not only care for someone’s pets, but also to respect and care for their home as if it were my own. Through my veterinary and marine mammal rehabilitation experience, I am comfortable caring for animals with a variety of needs and challenges. I am experienced with walking dogs of different temperaments, administering medications, following specific routines, and providing extra patience and attention when needed. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.
