Pet care experience

Experienced Animal Caregiver 🐾

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and a strong background in animal care through my work at a veterinary clinic and my continued work with SR3 (SeaLife Response, Rehabilitation, and Research) as an intern and animal husbandry volunteer. These experiences have given me hands-on experience caring for animals, monitoring behavior, following medical care routines, and understanding the importance of patience, safety, and individualized care. I have experience caring for a wide variety of animal species, including dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, chickens, ducks, frogs, fish, horses, seals, seal pups, and sea lions. My background has taught me how to recognize different animal behaviors, provide species-specific care, and adapt to each animal’s unique needs. I also have long-term clients that I regularly walk dogs for and have provided pet sitting and home care for while they are away. I understand how important it is to not only care for someone’s pets, but also to respect and care for their home as if it were my own. Through my veterinary and marine mammal rehabilitation experience, I am comfortable caring for animals with a variety of needs and challenges. I am experienced with walking dogs of different temperaments, administering medications, following specific routines, and providing extra patience and attention when needed. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet needs exercise, enrichment, medication, or simply a reliable person to keep them company, I would love to help!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I prioritize safety, cleanliness, and respecting each pet’s routine. I make sure pets are always secure, comfortable, and supervised, and I follow any instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication routines, and walking preferences. In a client’s home, I am respectful of the space and treat it with care, keeping things tidy and making sure pets feel calm and at ease while their owners are away. It is always my goal to leave a home and space “better” than I found it and to make sure each pet is happier, more comfortable, and well loved than when I arrived.

Lily has been an excellent dog sitter for us. She loves animals, has been dedicated to helping our family, and loves our fur babies, who love her.

Lily exudes a calm that puts my dog salty at ease. Her dedication to provide consistent and compassionate care to my pup is one of many of her great qualities. I’d refer lily to anyone I know looking for a kind and caring human to love on their furry friends.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I am able to provide consistent, reliable care throughout the week. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for dog walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and other pet care needs. I understand how important routine is for animals, so I do my best to keep their day as close to normal as possible while providing plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. I am currently focusing on pet care while preparing for my Peace Corps volunteer service departure in late September, so I have a very open schedule and am able to dedicate my time and attention to caring for your pets.
