I grew up on a farm in Appalachia, where I tended to sheep, chickens, rabbits, ducks, cats, and dogs. I’ve also pet-sat for neighbors’ cats, dogs, and horses; last summer I travelled throughout Ohio petsitting for various families. I’ve also pet-sat for a handful of alumna from Wellesley College, my alma mater — if you’d like references, I can absolutely provide them!

Lily is one of the most capable, responsible people I have ever met. I have known her for years, and she has taken amazing care of my cats on numerous occasions. She even did me the huge favor once of driving one of my cats three hours from Pittsburgh to Ohio while she meowed the entire time. Over the course of our friendship, I have seen her capably juggle nannying, house sitting, and pet sitting. She has woken up at the crack of dawn to care for a herd of goats, and I know she will put forth the same effort and dedication for any animals she cares for through Rover. She has a knack with all furry friends, and you would be lucky to have a dog walker or pet sitter like Lily!

Schedule
I’m a grad student and adjunct professor with a flexible schedule; I’m free most afternoons/evenings and am happy to tailor my schedule to best suit the needs of my clients.

Safety, trust & environment
I make sure to be attentive to all my clients’ cats/dogs and carefully read over all feeding + care instructions as soon as I receive them. I’m communicative with my clients, and intentional about ensuring their pets remain happy and healthy. I keep my clients’ home clean and in good order, and I make sure to spend lots of quality time with their pet(s) so he/she/they don’t become lonely! 🐾
A typical day
I love to go on long walks/leashed runs with dogs in NYC, and I’m willing and able to adapt to the needs/abilities of the dog I’m caring for. Of course I’m always ready to give pets/treats if a dog would like either, and I love playing fetch when there’s access to fenced, outdoor area.
