In my home, I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets are supervised, given regular toilet breaks, exercise, playtime, and lots of affection. I always follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walk preferences, and any individual needs. I have two free roaming house rabbits of my own, who will be kept on a separate floor away from any dogs attending daycare, ensuring a safe environment for all animals. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I respect their routine and home environment, making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for in familiar surroundings. Whether this is feeding, drop-in visits, companionship, or walks, I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs and always provide reliable, attentive care.

I would like to know as much as possible about their routine, personality, and individual needs so I can make them feel safe and comfortable. This includes feeding schedules, walk routine, toilet habits, any medical needs, allergies, medications, and whether they have any fears, anxieties, or behavioural quirks. It is also really helpful to know how your pet interacts with other animals, people, children, and new environments, as well as any training cues or commands they respond to.
A typical day
A typical day will always be tailored to your pet’s age, energy levels, and routine, but will include plenty of love, attention, exercise, and fun. I enjoy being outdoors and keeping active, including running, so for dogs that enjoy longer walks or a good run, I can provide plenty of exercise and stimulation. We are lucky to be local to lots of lovely walking areas including parks, heathland, and the beach, which means dogs can enjoy a variety of safe and enriching walks depending on their needs. For more relaxed pets, I’m equally happy with gentle strolls, playtime, cuddles, and companionship at home.

I work as a children’s social worker, which means I am around throughout the day and can provide plenty of supervision, companionship, and care for pets in my home. My professional background means I am highly responsible, trustworthy, calm under pressure, and experienced in meeting individual needs. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and rabbits. I currently have two house rabbits of my own, who are kept in their own separate room away from any dogs attending doggy daycare, so everyone can remain safe and comfortable. Over the years, I have carried out drop-in visits, feeding sessions, pop-ins, and dog walking for others. I am confident in managing pets with different personalities, routines, and needs, and I understand how important it is for owners to know their pets are in safe hands. I am Lily’s uncle and live in Norfolk but she often comes and looks after my dogs for me as well as our guinea pig and tortoise so has a lot to keep her busy when we are away but she is happy to clear up any accidents that have happened and it’s a massive help to have her as an option when she comes to visit family 😃
