My love for animals has always been clear, having had dogs and cats my whole life. I started my first “dog sitting business” when I was 10 years old (with the help of my mother), where I was able to establish a great customer base and learn the fundamentals of proper animal care. I took care of cats & dogs intermittently for years, along with caring for my family dogs. I got my very own border collie puppy two years ago, and have since fallen even deeper in love with caring for animals, and have been on an extensive journey of understanding training and how to provide the best life for my dog. I am experienced with reactive dogs & high energy dogs, and love to spend time with dogs in whatever way THEY prefer. We can go on long walks, play games in the park (on leash or off leash), do mental stimulation exercises, or simply hang out and watch TV together.

Lily has that perfect balance of pack-leader and empathetic dog mom. Dogs feel safe and unthreatened around her. She loves dogs but doesn’t let them get carried away. I trust Lily with my dog 100%; I know he is in safe hands with Lily!
Lily has cared for 3 family dogs, and currently owns a Border Collie of her own. She ran a pet sitting business in her teenage years and cared for several dogs. Lily has always treated dogs in her care respectfully and has taken time for learning proper training procedures. She is consistent, responsible ,confident and loving in her approach to handling dogs. I highly recommend Lily for quality dog care.

Lily is one of the most attentive dog owners I have ever known. I have watched her train her own dog for the past 2 years and her dog has gone from a scared, shy puppy to an extremely happy and cuddly dog that is an emotional support for many people around her. Lily’s lifestyle also aligns well to caretaker pets as she works from home and spends her free time going on walks in and around the city. Lily grew up with dogs so she has had lots of experience with different personalities of dogs and their individual needs. Her genuine love of dogs and her active lifestyle would make her a great caregiver. Additionally, I know she would appreciate the joy and companionship, and all the other great things that dogs bring to the lives of people around them.

Schedule
I work from home, so I am able to walk your dog whenever suits their schedule best. I typically do a long morning & evening walk, and one 30min-1hr walk during lunch hours.

Safety, trust & environment
I will never let a dog off leash, unless requested by the owner and a comfortable relationship between me and the dog is established. I typically bring two types of leads on my walks, to allow for both heel training & longer lead scent walks. I am very used to reactive dogs (having had 3 during my time living with my family), and so know how to advocate for a dog’s space & avoid uncomfortable situations.
Pets
A typical day
I start my days with a 1 hour walk that incorporates basic training for mental stimulation, lots of sniff time, and play of the dogs choice! Lunchtime consists of a sniff walk, and in the evening I typically walk between 1hr & 1.5hrs. Play throughout the day & happy to give your dog any extra stimulation it needs (frozen carrots to chew, scent/treat games)
