Hi! My friends call me Sunny☀️ I’m a junior at Alfred University studying Fine Art and Equine Behavior, and I’ve worked with a myriad of animals for over 8 years :) I have extensive experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, cows, rabbits, and rodents. This comes from volunteering at multiple nonprofits, independent contracting with 10+ returning clients, and most recently a work-study position at the AU Equestrian Center. • I’ve also fostered rabbits, newborn kittens, lambs, and an orphaned calf :) 🐾 Not only do I have hands-on experience with seniors, pets with arthritis, dementia, blindness, etc. abuse cases, high anxiety, aggression, destructive behaviors, high-energy puppies, and more; I consistently study domestic animal husbandry and handling research so I can keep pets safe, calm, and happy. • That includes understanding stress signals and body language, safe exercise methods and enrichment techniques based on breed-disposition, age, etc. general first-aid and wound care, and discouraging unwanted behavior through proper handling ex. reducing pulling on walks, jumping, etc. 🐾 I understand leaving a pet at home is difficult, so ensuring you are always up-to-date on their daily adventures is among my top priorities. I’m happy to provide a stress free experience for all animals in my care, so you can relax without worry, knowing they are in capable hands 🫶🐾

Safety, trust & environment
✔️I will always practice a "leave-no-trace" policy when house sitting, so that you can come home to everything just as you left it :) • On Walks: I don't allow interaction with dogs or people, am vigilant of ingest-able litter, and have no issue handling reactive dogs/heavy pullers, or fishing anything harmful out of a dogs mouth. • At Home: I don't feed table scraps, uphold any rules in place (no couches, rooms off limits, etc) for your pets. I utilize different pre-discussed enrichment techniques to make sure pets are given outlets for any stress/anxious behaviors, but do not force interaction, allowing them to relax at their own pace. ❗️Safety - I’m experienced taking vitals, administering eye drops, inhalers, oral meds (pill and syringe) and trained in open-wound care including safe disinfection, wrapping, and sterilization. I don't allow house guests, and do not smoke or drink.

Sunny was incredible. My dogs had a great time- they snuggled, played their favorite games and were in great care. We received thorough updates and were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our dogs were in great hands.

Schedule
I am available any day/time listed open on my Rover calendar, but prefer to schedule meetings on Tuesdays & Wednesdays :) - I do have errands and other clients, but will discuss your pets schedule before booking to ensure it’s followed perfectly. - I own my own vehicle and am usually fine working on short notice - Extremely last-minute requests may incur an additional fee
