I am a very thoughtful and careful person, and am sure to read through and remember any and all instructions you have for me. Don't be embarassed if you have a full binder of instructions, I understand completely! I am experienced at reading pet body language and will make sure your pet is completely comfortable with me before leaving for our walk. While walking, I'm always aware of your pets triggers and am very used to avoiding triggers like dogs or kids. I have a regular client that is scared of cars, motorcycles, helicopters, kites, and thunder! It's all good, and I will pay close attention to you and your pet's needs.

I need to know the basics of how much they eat and when, how often they need to go outside and for how long, if they need any medication, and what commands they know. I also need to know if your dog has any triggers or circumstances where they can be fearful, aggressive, reactive, or have resource guarding tendencies. I have plenty of experience dealing with all of these traits and feel confident taking care of a dog with any of these tendencies, but it is helpful to know in advance so I can better address your dog's needs.
A typical day
I'm happy to adapt our activity level to whatever is best for your pet. If they need stimulation and play, we'll do that! If they need a long, fast walk to exercise, great! If they prefer to go slow and just sniff around a lot, then that's what we'll do.

I am an experienced pet sitter and walker and have lived my whole life raising and caring for dogs. I have lots of experience dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors, as well as experience as a professional dog walker and working at a dog daycare/boarding facility. I am a reliable, responsible caregiver who will give your pet wonderful care while you are out. I have experience supervising play, feeding, walking, administering medication, and doing light grooming (bath, brush, nails) in a professional capacity. I am also happy to water plants, weed gardens, and perform other housekeeping duties while you are away.

Lilly took care of my two cairn terriers -- one a little quirky and the other a little anxious. I was impressed with how calm and conscientious Lilly is. She has a rare quality of responsible attention and thoroughness, paired with a happy, grounded personality. She is very intelligent which helped me feel that she would be able to handle any emergency if one arose, using her sound judgement. Most of all, Lilly is a true animal lover and genuinely enjoys any interaction with animals and the process of understanding what they need as well as how to make the dog/cat feel loved and secure.
