I treat all clients animals as if they were my own. They are cared for very well while clients are gone away from the home. Lots of love, play time, and just hanging out. If wanted by clients, dogs are regularly walked and exercised (I’m a hiker so am happy to take them to do outdoor hikes as well) along with regular care as if their parents never even left. I try to keep a relatively realistic schedule and life for animals while parents are gone so that they don’t have much stress when parents are away.
