5 Star Rated home boarding for smaller dogs.
Pleased to announce, following recent inspection for licence renewal, that we now have a FIVE STAR rating from Central Bedfordshire. We have always had dogs and had often talked about having a ‘home from home boarding for dogs’ business when we retired from managing a care home for the elderly. About 10 months ago, having been retired for about 18 months and having ticked many of the boxes on our ‘to-do’ list, we started our business. A dog boarding and daycare service, very much a ‘home from home’ environment; in our home which offers large indoor and outdoor areas for our guests to explore and to run around and play in. We have been very busy and are extremely happy and appreciative of the comments and 5-star reviews left here on Rover and on our Google page (Comfy Canine Care) by our many satisfied customers. We cater primarily for smaller dogs - small / small medium dogs - and this is popular with owners who prefer their smaller loved ones to board in an environment without the presence of larger dogs. We have our own dog – Darcy, a gorgeous 7-year-old Shih Tzu – and she is a little bit spoilt and we look after our guests exactly the same with lots of love and care. We are licenced and regulated by Central Bedfordshire Council and related qualifications - ‘Diploma in Pet Sitting and Walking’ & ‘Dog First Aid Emergency Canine Care’ – have been achieved.

Azko stayed with Lillian for a week over Christmas and I couldn’t be happier with how she and her husband took care of him. Will absolutely use again if needed. Highly recommend.

Knowing I was going away for 4 weeks on a work trip I needed to find a caring and reputable dog sitter for my elderly dog (16). I found Lilian & Chris and knew as soon as I met them that they would love and care for Tiger like one of their own. They gave regular updates, pictures and videos and I was put at ease to see him so happy and settled. He had the best 4 weeks with them and I can’t thank them enough. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing day or boarding care for their small dog. Thank you!

Schedule
We are both retired and therefore have no commitments other than to care for, walk and give your dog(s) our attention. Happy to take on board, and meet, your dog's needs.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Totally secure garden, 6ft+ fence and secure gate. Large garden suitable for exercise for those not being able to walk in nearby parks. Guests will be welcome to use furniture and sleep on bed if this is their normal practice. Our practice is licenced and regulated by the local authority (Central Beds).
Pets
A typical day
With a field and park close by there will be lots of stimulation for our guests when we go for walks. We have a basket full of toys for them to play with and a number games to stimulate and entertain them
