We have an elderly dog who needs special attention. Lillian was very sensitive to our needs and requests, and gave us frequent updates on all three of our furry friends while we were gone. Lillian gave us peace of mind, so we could enjoy our trip. Would certainly recommend Lillian to anyone in need of a dog sitter!

Lillian went above and beyond while taking care of our two dogs. Multiple pictures throughout the day showed them on long walks, dog park visits and other adventures. The house was spotless. We would highly recommend her to anyone who wants expert, loving care for their animals.

Lilly was absolutely amazing with our elderly pomeranian, Thor! She stayed with him in our home for over two weeks, sending us updates and pictures on the daily. Really great communications both before and during. Since walks aren’t his strong suit at his age, she took him on field trips with her as she went about town and school. Her kindness and thoughtfulness shines through in conversations with her and her care for Thor. She left our home tidy and clean. Honestly, Lilly just exceeded all expectations, as a person and a pet sitter. Thank you, Lilly - you have a place on our hearts!

Schedule

Pet care fits very naturally into my weekly routine as an online student, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to structure my day around consistent pet care. I’m available most of the day for walks, feeding, attention, and companionship, and I’m able to adjust my schedule based on each pet’s needs. Midweek, I regularly join group walks for 2–3 hours with dogs I am familiar with, and I’m happy to bring dogs along if they are comfortable and enjoy social outings. If a dog is not comfortable in that type of environment, I have no issue keeping them on leash, staying home, or providing separate solo walks. I always tailor my routine to what makes each pet feel safest and most comfortable. Midday walks or longer adventures are frequent, and errand-loving dogs are welcome to join most of my day.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a calm apartment with no other pets, which allows me to give each animal my full attention and a peaceful environment. If I’m caring for more than one pet, I have space to comfortably separate them into different rooms and can also crate them if needed. When I step out briefly, I typically keep pets in a secure, comfortable space so they feel safe and settled. On nice days, we also often enjoy time on my balcony together watching people pass by and taking in the view ☀️ Because I do live in an apartment, dogs who struggle with excessive barking may not be the best fit. I always prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency, and I limit time away so pets aren’t left alone for long. I also take time to build trust slowly at the beginning of each stay, and I’m happy to adjust care for pets who need extra structure or support.

A typical day

I like to let the day flow naturally based on each dog’s energy and personality. During our morning walk, I follow their lead—playful pups may head to the park, while more relaxed dogs enjoy a calm stroll through the neighborhood or along a nearby trail with plenty of water and treats along the way. If they’re up for it, I’m also happy to take them on an afternoon jog at their pace, including spots like Pete’s Hill. Indoors, dogs can relax with me or unwind on their own if they prefer space. After dinner and an evening walk, we usually wind down for the night, sometimes even with a cozy puppy movie night 🐾🎬 For longer stays, especially with dogs I’ve built trust with and am familiar with, I may also include bigger outings like dog-friendly dinners with friends or other tailored adventures that match their personality and comfort level.

Before a stay, it’s very helpful for me to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level with being alone, other dogs, and new environments. Details about separation anxiety, reactivity, leash behavior, feeding routines, or medical needs are especially important so I can provide the best possible care. For boarding, I kindly ask that you bring anything that helps your pet feel at home. For example as a familiar bed, blanket, toy, or crate/kennel if that’s what they’re used to. For house sitting, it’s also helpful to have a designated spot (like a kitchen counter or table) where you can leave essentials such as food, treats, leashes, collars, and any cleaning supplies I may need. This helps me keep everything consistent and organized for your pet’s care. Because I live in an apartment, dogs with excessive barking may not be a good fit for boarding or daycare.
