when caring for pets in a client’s home, i always make safety a priority for both the pet and the home itself. i pay close attention to routines, instructions, doors, gates, leashes, feeding directions, and making sure pets stay in safe environments at all times. if a yard is fenced, i still keep a close eye on pets while they’re outside and make sure everything is secure before letting them out. i’m very calm and confident around animals, and i think that helps them warm up to me quickly and feel comfortable. i’m patient, attentive, and always try to build trust with pets while making sure they feel safe, cared for, and stress-free while their owner is away.

Pet care experience
i have been around animals my whole life and have experience caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities. i previously owned an australian shepherd, so i’m very familiar with high energy dogs, keeping up with routines, walks, playtime, and making sure they get plenty of attention and stimulation. i’ve also owned rabbits before, which gave me experience caring for smaller animals and being attentive to different needs and temperaments. while i haven’t personally owned a cat yet, i’ve spent a lot of time around my sister’s cats and helping care for them as well. animals have always naturally gravitated toward me, and i’ve always been someone friends and family trust around their pets. i’m very patient, reliable, gentle, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making them feel comfortable and cared for.
