When caring for a pet in my home or yours, your dog is my first priority and I abide by your instructions for feeding/play/bathroom. I stay observant to learn the way your animal communicates so to allow their nervous system to be as relaxed as possible, knowing they are being well-cared for. If your dog wants to snuggle or play, I make myself fully available for that (unless you have guidelines for how you'd like me to engage with them. I'll take your dog on walks around the property to go to the bathroom and for exercise (we live on a canyon-side). During the warmer season, we have a creek across the street and if you’d like I can take them on-leash down to play in the water.

Do let me know if your dog has any special behaviors or special needs ahead of time. I only accept requests for dogs that are potty-trained and who answer to commands, at least somewhat. If your dog sheds a lot, it would be helpful if they ate brushed ahead of time. Also, if your dog has a strong odor, please advise in the request. and/or have them bathed ahead of time.
A typical day
When boarding with me, your dog will be essentially in a mountain retreat atmosphere, surrounded by 4 other attuned and coherent humans who will also treat them with so much love. Your dog’s nervous system will feel reset by the time you pick them up as they will be immersed in nature surrounded by the sounds of the canyon and Boulder Creek. I'll be definitely taking them on walks/hikes and playing with them if they're up for it. Know that your dog will feel truly seen here.

I love and grew up with dogs...we have a very deep and loving connection. Friends always chuckle about how I can put a dog to sleep quickly...when I place my hands on them they relax nearly immediately. I'm a deeply present and observant person who picks up subtle cues and patterns as part of my default programming. Your beloved dog is in great hands with me and I always do my best to keep in alignment with the animal's training. And if you'd like, I can give your dog reiki sessions...that would be a joy!
