I’ve grown up around animals and have had cats as part of my family for over 22 years, so caring for pets has always felt very natural to me. I know just how important they become to us, and when I’m looking after someone else’s pet, I want their owner to feel confident that they’re being treated with the same patience, affection and attention I would give my own. One of my cats, Bubbles, developed medical problems as she got older, which meant her care became more involved. Looking after her taught me a lot about adapting to an animal’s changing needs, recognising when something isn’t quite right, and being patient with pets who may need a little more time, reassurance or attention. It also made me very comfortable following established routines and owners’ instructions carefully. I’m happy to provide drop-in visits and pet sitting, including feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, playtime, companionship and plenty of attention. I’m also comfortable looking after pets who are older, nervous, shy or simply prefer things done in a particular way! I appreciate that every animal has its own personality and routine, so I’ll always take the time to learn what makes your pet happiest and most comfortable. Alongside my love of animals, I’m currently a student paramedic. My studies and clinical work have made me organised, dependable and very comfortable taking responsibility for the wellbeing of others. I take commitments seriously, communicate clearly and understand how reassuring regular updates can be when you’ve entrusted someone with something—or someone—you care about. My schedule varies around university and placement commitments, which also means I regularly have days and periods where I’m completely free. When I accept a booking, I make sure I have enough time to give your pet proper attention rather than simply rushing in and out. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s usual routine beforehand and work visits around feeding times, medication routines, playtime or simply keeping them company. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether that means playing with an energetic cat, sitting quietly until a nervous one decides I’m trustworthy, or providing some extra TLC to an older pet, I’m very happy to adapt to them. I also know how difficult it can be to leave a much-loved pet in somebody else’s care, so I’m always happy to provide regular photos and updates while you’re away. My aim is simple: for you to be able to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, cared for and getting plenty of attention.
