My home has a small fenced side yard, but I know of more expansive spaces, both fenced and unfenced, within walking distance of my house that I would be happy to take any pup to. I have experience heeding to a detailed feeding regimen, cleaning the food bowls regularly, and keeping to a consistent schedule with letting the dog in and out of the house. I am always open to walks if requested, including going multiple times a day. Bringing a comforting presence is my top priority in pet care. Making sure your pet is comfortable and not feeling lonely is one of the biggest ways to keep their spirits up while their favorite human(s) are away, and I am willing to heed almost any request made by the owner to ensure their standards are met.

I'd need to know technical aspects, of course, like if there's a certain feeding regimen or certain parameters regarding treat administration, and if there are any oral medications to administer. Other preferences like food and water bowl cleaning or hygiene upkeep like fur and teeth brushing, bathing, or ear cleaning would be good to know as well. Additionally, I would like to go into any interaction already having a rough idea of the dog's overall personality. Any patterns that stand out (ie relieving themself in the house, touch preferences, aggression levels) would be great to know going into a sitting gig. Presenting myself in a way that facilitates trust and ease with the pet is a major priority for me. After all, first impressions are everything, even with our furry friends!
A typical day
I love any kind of play, so if they like fetch or tug-o-war (if the owner is okay with it), I would be completely willing to engage as long as it's safe and the dog is interested. I would also love to go on walks and I could take them to the dog park if they're good in that kind of setting.

I've loved dogs my whole life, and was privileged enough to have two mixed terriers in my household growing up. I was always involved in their care, from going on walks with them to being in charge of feeding them and letting them out. As they reached later life, I grew accustomed to caring for their more complicated health related needs. I've had experience hosting a dog in my own home, and have also dogsat in the client's home for an extended period of time, including overnight stay. I have experienced oral medicine administration, following a specific feeding regimen, and being a comforting presence for a dog with strong need for attachment and companionship. I have been friendly with dogs my whole life, and I'm excited to meet yours!

Liam is very responsible and caring sitter. I was getting updates within few minutes every time I reached out. It was out first time leaving Milo with sitter and we were little nervous. We called on Lia to pet sit my 4 yo Great Dane, Enzo, at our house for one week without much notice. We were excited to hear that she was willing to do a quick meet and greet to see how Enzo behaves and go over all the details of Enzo’s daily routine. When she stayed over, she gave us daily updates on Enzo and sent pictures too. It was our first time leaving Enzo at home and it was a great relief knowing Lia was there to keep him company and take care of him day and night. She was wonderful with Enzo and I would recommend Lia for any pet sitting needs.
