🐾 A little update for my regulars going into 2027 🐾 Okkkk this one is definitely bittersweet to write 🥹💗 but starting in 2027, I will no longer be offering boarding. There are honestly a few reasons behind this decision, but weirdly enough, a HUGE part of it comes from everything your dogs have taught me. We’ll be staying in Florida through the winter and won’t be coming back until around March or April. Then we have to pack up my house, pack up my partner’s house, move, unpack, figure out where the heck everything goes 😂 and adjust to a completely new environment. And the more I learn about dogs, the more I realize how unfair it would feel for me to be in the middle of all that chaos while also expecting your dogs to come here and somehow feel completely normal and settled. Most dogs are already leaving their normal routine when they stay somewhere else. But soooo many of my regulars have basically created a SECOND routine here. 😂 They know this house. They know me. They know Luigi. They know what happens next. If you’ve ever gotten a video from me of your dog standing by the garage door waiting for me to hurry the heck up, or sitting beside the car because OBVIOUSLY it is time for our next adventure 😂😂 you know exactly what I mean. They don’t just come here and hang out anymore. They have their own little lives here. 🥹💗 And Luigi has become such a huge part of that too. He is this little constant grounding presence for so many of the dogs that come here. They know him. They understand him. Some of them literally look to him when they aren’t sure what we’re doing. 🥹 But he’s going to be going through a huge transition too. New house. New smells. New sounds. New routines. New everything. And I want to give him the time he deserves to recalibrate and learn his new environment so he can stay rock solid in everything we’ve worked so hard on. Soooo that explains the first half of the year… But what about once we’re settled?? 👀😂 As most of you know because I literally never shut up about my dog classes 😂 I’ve been continuing my education in canine behavior, and I really want to be able to move through those courses faster. The next portions also require more in person work with dogs who need behavioral support. And THAT is where I’ve realized my heart really is. 💗 I’m not super interested in teaching dogs how to be perfectly obedient little robots. 😂 I want the fearful dogs. The nervous dogs. The dogs people call “stubborn,” “bad,” “aggressive,” “too much” or just plain misunderstood. I want to slow down enough to figure out what they’re actually trying to tell us. I want to help dogs work through trauma, build confidence, fulfill the needs they were literally designed to have and help their humans understand why they do the things they do. Because teaching a dog a new behavior is really freaking cool. But helping change the way a dog experiences their entire world??? Yeah. 🥹 THAT is what I want to spend my time doing. And actuallyyyyy… some of your pups might get to come along for this next chapter. 👀😂 I’ll need real life cases as I continue working toward my accreditation, so if there’s something you’ve always wanted help with, PLEASE let me know! I’ll be able to take on some cases completely FREE while working with the guidance of my instructor. Things may move a little slower while I learn, review my observations and work through everything with my instructor, but hey… you get some serious deep-dive behavior work for free and I get the experience I need. 😂 WIN WIN. Alright there is one more part that is personal. For the past few years, I have genuinely put all the pups first. Once someone’s dog was in my care, that was it. They were my responsibility and they were my priority. My family and I have missed holidays, weddings, reunions, birthdays and soooo many random little moments because I had dogs here depending on me. And I don’t regret that. Like at all. But I think I’m ready for 2027 to have a little more room for the humans I love too. 🥹💗 Lastly, I just want to say THANK YOU! I genuinely don’t know how to explain what all of your dogs have meant to me. Some of them have been coming here long enough that I know their weird little habits, their favorite games, what scares them, how they ask me for something, where they’re going to sleep, who needs extra reassurance, who needs some space and exactly what adventure is going to make their entire freaking day. 😂💗 But especially this past year. 2026 was honestly life altering for me in ways I don’t think most people even know. And so many of your dogs were here for it. They literally crawled onto my chest while I bawled my eyes out. They laid beside me when I didn’t want to talk. They got me out of the house when I probably would’ve stayed there. They made me laugh when I reallyyyyy didn’t feel like laughing. And somehow, without having a single clue what was going on in my human world, they just kept showing up exactly as themselves. For the first time in my life, I started learning how to sit in my own discomfort instead of immediately running from it. I worked through things I spent YEARS avoiding. I learned things about myself I probably wouldn’t have been brave enough to look at before. And somewhere in the middle of all of that were your dogs. 🥹 So when I say I’m grateful you trusted me with them, I mean it in a way that goes soooo much deeper than “thank you for supporting my business.” Thank you for trusting me with your weird, dramatic, nervous, goofy, stubborn, cuddly, chaotic little creatures who are all filled with love. 😂💗 Thank you for letting me learn from them. Thank you for letting me love them. And thank you for sharing them with me during a time in my life when, without even knowing it, I really needed them too. I’m going to miss having their little lives woven into mine more than I can explain. But the funny thing is… all of the time I spent loving them, watching them, learning their tiny signals, figuring out what they needed and trying to understand the world from their side is exactly what led me here. 🐾💗 ❤️ BEFORE YOU BOOK PLEASE READ THIS ❤️ For stays longer than four days and for holidays the rate is higher and I want to explain why. This is not a nine to five job. It is a twenty four seven commitment. Most visiting dogs cannot be left alone at all, and because of that I miss a lot. I skip family events. I rearrange appointments. I lose sleep when dogs are anxious or cannot settle their first night. I stay up if someone is vomiting from nerves. I cancel plans when a dog needs more support than expected. I spend weekends inside when other people are out living life because a pup needs constant supervision. I put your dogs above everything else in my personal life, including my own family at times. I only take one family pack at a time. Your dogs get my full focus and a safe space without the chaos that comes from mixing multiple families. I take them on real hikes, give them real enrichment, and use high quality human grade treats because visiting dogs need both movement and mental work to settle in a new place. I even go as far as renting out private land for dogs who are leash reactive or for pups who need a huge fenced in area with tons of acres to burn off anxiety and energy in a safe way. I share the smiling pictures and the fun adventures, but there is a lot that happens behind the scenes to make sure your dog feels safe, loved, and stable. This level of care takes real time, real sacrifice, and real dedication, and that is why I am firm in my pricing. I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and honestly… they’ve shaped a huge part of who I am. I live with my Italian Greyhound pretty much 24/7 (he has separation anxiety and I wouldn’t have it any other way), so I’m very used to the “velcro dog” lifestyle. Because of him, I’m super tuned into the little things.. their routines, their quirks, their sensitivities, and all the ways they try to communicate. I also grew up with Dobermans, so I’m no stranger to big, smart, emotional dogs who need confidence, structure, and someone who actually pays attention. That upbringing taught me patience, consistency, and to always advocate for the dog in front of me. I’ve had all sorts of animals in my life..even my two skinny pigs who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. They were tiny, but trust me, they had huge personalities and fit right in with visiting pups. Between my own dogs, my extended family’s dogs, and the endless stream of personalities I meet through boarding, I’ve gotten really comfortable reading different temperaments. Cuddly lap dogs, anxious shadow followers, high energy explorers, the “I’m independent but also please never leave me” types. I love them all and adjust to whatever they need. I’ve also worked with dogs who aren’t always easy around others. I take things slow, keep everyone safe, and create an environment where every dog can relax and feel secure. Safety and understanding always come first. At the end of the day, every dog who stays with me becomes part of my little crew. I’m not a kennel! They live life with me. Walks, snuggles, routines, the whole thing. Your pup will be cared for exactly how I care for my own: with intention, patience, and a lot of love. ❤️
