Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I treat pets as if they are my own pets. More recently after owning a ferret and multiple exotics I feel as if I have become a "poop" master, as I tend to now check it to make sure the animals are ok.

I had to rate that because that’s the lowest I can rate other than that I would have even given her that star. I’ve had dog sitters from here a lot and never had this issue with anyone. Yes I have a security system not to spy but to make sure my house is secure. She obviously had an issue with not sure why! As long as she was doing her job it should not have mattered if I had cameras. What upset me was she turned the cameras around. The cameras are meant to look at the door to see if anyone tries to come and steal I see the faces that’s it! And for her to not complete the stay and I’m away already worrying about my pups that’s so unprofessional! Also she lied about spending the night when I see people coming in and out of my house from the outside . She left at 7 Friday night and didn’t come back until like 3-4am! Told me she was at my house when I txted her around 12. That was a lie. When we discussed what I wanted she seemed fine with the terms and what I wanted. I had to get my brother to come and let them out while she was gone. I shouldn’t have had to do that when I paid for a service. I thought I had to leave my destination to get to my dogs. Thanks to my brother, dad, and my rover sitter I used I was able to stay ! Thank you to them someone I can trust . My original dog sitter from rover never touched my cameras and did her job well! Lexy is very unprofessional and never again will I use her! Very bad experience but hope to be the last.

Lexy was responsive to come over in short order to see if the job was mutually compatible. I had concerns because my dog is 50 lbs and is slow to warm up to new people. Lexy took the assignment (actually 3/27-4/16 just booked in 2 segments so she could receive some of the payment without having to wait 3 weeks). My dog and cat were fine when I arrived home and she returned my keys as arranged. Mission accomplished.

Lexy seems like a very dependable pet-sitter, who really loves dogs! She was very respectful of our space and our flat-coat retriever was clearly VERY happy to see her when she came. That says a lot. Got regular pictures too and fast replies which was appreciated.

My dogs loved her and she took excellent care of them. One of my babies is a rescue and struggles to trust new people. By the second day she was hanging out watching tv with her. Her trust alone speaks volumes!

Lexy has grown up with dogs, loving them as a baby and growing to love and care for them and other pets as an adult. As a baby she grew up with a Maltese-Zorba-who loved her and was her best friend inside the home and a black lab-Thief -who she learned to swim with and was her buddy in the swimming pool. Over the years as she grew up animals were always an important part of her life and she adopted or found homes for various cats and dogs and even a wounded duck. Later, while in college, she adopted a sitsu-poodle mix puppy-"Lil Bear" -a tiny fellow who she raised like a child-taking him to college classes with her in a pocket of her back-pack when he was a baby. Lil-Bear had been taken from his mom too soon-and the vet said he would likely not make it unless hand-bottle fed his milk and cared for delicately. Lexy took that on and Lil Bear is a great, healthy (and very smart) companion today. He has now grown to adulthood--a college grad-but he still goes nuts when he sees his "mom" come into the house. Lexy has been a caring and responsible pet owner all her life exhibiting great respect and love for all animals, starting as young child and growing to adulthood. She would be an excellent caretaker and companion for any pet. Lee Kay

I would like to know the dog's temperament and schedule. I have no breed preference. I believe in keeping schedules consistent, especially for animals, so they don't get upset with a new person around.
