Pet care is already a built‑in part of my daily life. I run a small home‑based animal rescue and I’m a certified veterinary assistant, so caring for animals is part of my morning and evening routine every single day.I’m used to structured schedules, medication timing, feeding routines, enrichment, and making sure every animal gets the attention they need. Because I’m already out and about with my own dogs, adding walks or drop‑in visits fits naturally into my day.Whether it’s a morning walk, a midday check‑in, or an evening visit, I’m consistent, reliable, and always make sure pets feel safe and cared for.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety is always my first priority. As a certified veterinary assistant and the founder of a small home‑based rescue, I’m very comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine exactly — feeding, medications, potty breaks, crate time, and any house rules you have in place. I always double‑check doors, gates, and locks, and I never take risks with safety. For walks, I use secure leashing, avoid unsafe areas, and pay close attention to body language and surroundings. I don’t allow off‑leash time unless it’s in a fully fenced yard with your permission. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, calm, and understood while keeping your home secure and respected. You can trust that I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give to the animals in my rescue.

Information Lexis F. would like to know about your pet

I like to know anything that helps me give your pet the safest and most comfortable experience. This includes their normal routine, feeding schedule, medications, energy level, and any quirks or behaviors you’ve noticed. Please let me know if your pet has reactivity, anxiety, fear triggers, or needs extra time to warm up — I’m very patient and experienced with shy or sensitive dogs.I also appreciate knowing how they walk on leash, whether they’re crate‑trained, and any house rules you want me to follow. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor my care to your pet’s personality and keep them feeling happy and secure.

A typical day

A typical day with me is all about keeping pets happy, relaxed, and mentally stimulated. For walks, I choose safe, quiet routes where dogs can sniff, explore, and enjoy a steady pace. I let them take their time — sniffing is enrichment, and I want them to feel fulfilled, not rushed.During drop‑in visits, I tailor the fun to each pet’s personality. That might be playing fetch, gentle tug, puzzle toys, slow‑paced enrichment for shy dogs, or calm cuddle time for pets who just want company. I always make sure they get fresh water, a potty break, and plenty of affection. My goal is to make every visit something your pet looks forward to — a mix of movement, comfort, and positive interaction that fits their unique needs.

Pet care experience

I have over three years of hands‑on experience caring for animals through rescue work, fostering, and running my own small home‑based refuge. I’m also a Certified Veterinary Assistant, which means I’m trained in safe handling, medication administration, senior care, and recognizing early signs of stress or illness.I’ve cared for pets of all ages and needs — from confident, easygoing dogs to shy, anxious, reactive, or medically fragile animals. I’m extremely patient and calm, and I always tailor my approach to each pet’s personality. What sets me apart is the level of experience I bring from rescue work. I’m used to managing routines, enrichment, special diets, mobility support, and behavior quirks. I treat every pet like an individual and make sure they feel safe, understood, and comfortable.Whether your pet needs slow introductions, extra reassurance, structured walks, or a gentle, steady presence, I’m confident and experienced in providing the kind of care that helps them relax and enjoy their time with me.
