Availability
I run my own business working perinatally with families, so pet owners who want someone to pop in midday through early evening will likely be the best fit. Since I make my own schedule, however, I can be flexible when able to plan ahead.

Safety, trust & environment
Similarly to tiny humans, building mutual trust comes with time and a gentle approach. I always wait to greet a pet until they have calmed down and respect their space. I prefer when pet parents fill me in on their animals' routine as well as any quirks they have, so that I can care for them as seamlessly as possible.
Information Lexi T. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any special needs, fears/anxieties, medications and/or medical conditions. **I must be informed of any reactivity and/or triggers that your pet has beforehand in order to keep them safe as well as myself.**
A typical day
Some dogs do best with longer walks, others with more sensory sniff time, and then there's the happy potato who will go out begrudgingly then enjoy a couch cuddle. I'd love to know what your dog likes best: spa time, playing, agility practice, puzzles, long walks, etc.

Pet care experience
I had my own dog for over 14 years, and have always loved being around others' pets. Throughout my twenties, I frequently house and pet sat for employers, family members, and friends; though I currently prefer shorter visits, I may be open to overnights with established clients. My career as a Postpartum Care Specialist has helped me become more in tune with subtle non-verbal cues from tiny humans and fluffy creatures alike. I also have a special place in my heart for gentle giants and senior dogs.
Reviews
"Lexi has cared for our pets regularly both short- and long term. Shr treats them as they were her own and also asks detailed questions to understand current health conditions. I highly recommend her as a great resource for anyone with pets!"
Lexi has been absolutely incredible with caring for Willy and Harlow. She is always mindful when it comes to their individual needs and personalities. She knows them and truly will tailor her care to what they need. She is educated on the appropriate dog etiquette and will follow my lead and instructions when it comes to caring for both a senior dog and a young, energetic, yet fearful other half :) I really appreciate the detailed updates and the occasional photo of a cute post-visit snuggle sesh — it gives me total peace of mind knowing they’re safe, happy, and having a great time.” I would recommend Lexi over and over again and will have her care for my dogs for the foreseeable future.
Lexi has know our dog since she was a puppy. She is 100% one of Ollie's favorite people and is always the first one we ask to watch her when we need to go out of town. She is an extremely kind person who would take amazing care of your pup just like she does ours.
