Safety, trust & environment

In your home, I’ll always respect your space and routines. I follow all instructions carefully, make sure food, toys, and walk routines are handled just the way your pet is used to, and always leave the home tidy. I also take safety seriously—using leads and secure gates as needed, watching for pet cues, and keeping routines consistent to avoid stress or confusion.

Information Levi H. would like to know about your pet

To make sure your pet feels completely safe, happy, and cared for while you're away, I like to gather as much helpful info as possible beforehand. Every pet is different, and the more I know, the better I can tailor their care to match their routine and personality. Here are some of the things I always ask about: Daily routine: I want to keep things as normal as possible for your pet, so let me know when they usually eat, go for walks, sleep, and play. If they have any special habits (like needing a bedtime treat or a favourite blanket to settle down), that’s super helpful to know! Medical info & allergies: Does your pet have any health conditions, take medications, or have allergies I need to be aware of? I’m happy to give meds or keep an eye on anything specific, just let me know their needs. Behaviour & temperament: Are they super social or more independent? How do they feel around other dogs, cats, people, or loud noises? If your pet has any fears, reactivity, or nervous behaviours, I’ll make sure they feel safe and supported. No judgment, just care and understanding. Training & commands: What words or hand signals do they know? I’ll do my best to stick to your training style and reinforce good behaviour. If there’s anything you’re working on, I’m happy to help keep things consistent. Likes and dislikes: Do they have favourite toys, games, or spots to be scratched? Anything they avoid—like certain noises, objects, or activities? This helps me build trust with them quickly and make their time with me as fun and stress-free as possible. Emergency contacts & vet info: Just in case something unexpected happens, I like to have a backup contact and your vet’s details on hand. I know leaving your pet with someone else can feel like a big deal, so I always take the time to learn what makes them feel secure and loved. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions, stick closely to your routine, and send regular updates so you know exactly how they’re doing.

A typical day

When your pet stays with me, I make sure their day is filled with structure, comfort, and fun, just like they’d get at home. We usually start with a morning walk lasting 30–45 minutes (adjusted to your pet’s needs). This isn’t just about exercise, daily walks help dogs burn off energy, stay fit, and reduce anxiety. I make sure the pace and length match their age and ability, whether they’re a bouncy pup or a senior dog who prefers a gentle stroll. After walkies, we follow your pet’s usual routine: meals at their normal time, potty breaks when needed, any medications, and of course, time for play and rest. Throughout the day, I provide mental stimulation and emotional support, because enrichment is just as important as physical activity. For active dogs, I love games like fetch, tug-of-war, or short training sessions using treats or toys. These keep their minds sharp and reinforce positive behaviours. For calmer or older pets, we enjoy slow, sniffy walks (great for mental stimulation!), brushing sessions, or just relaxing together in a quiet, cosy space. If I’m looking after cats or smaller pets, I give them plenty of attention too, whether that’s interactive play with toys, puzzle feeders, or a comfy lap to nap on. Every pet is different, so I always tailor my care to suit their personality, energy level, and comfort. Most importantly, I treat your pet like they’re my own, safe, loved, and always entertained. And I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away.

Experienced Pet Companion

Pet care experience

Animals have always been a big part of my life. I’ve spent over a decade helping care for friends’, partners’, and family members’ dogs of all sizes and temperaments—from playful puppies to older, more relaxed companions. I'm confident with walks, feeding routines, playtime, and giving pets the love and attention they deserve. While I may be new to Rover, I bring years of hands-on experience and a calm, attentive approach to every sit. I also have extensive experience with cats, from kittens to seniors, and understand their unique needs and personalities. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s overnight stays or drop-ins, I make sure your pets feel safe, secure, and cared for in your absence.

Levi was incredible with our two boys while we were away for 6 nights. Levi kept us updated throughout our trip and put us at ease when they were being shy and scared. I highly recommend booking! Thanks Levi!
