I am a recently semi-retired and love dogs, so I am pretty flexible. When we are dog sitting or fostering, our dogs get at least two walks per day and as much outdoor time in the yard as possible.

Safety, trust & environment
We are not considering bordering today with Rover. When we have bordered pets in the path, much depends on our familiarity with the dog. Pups that we know and are accident free, we give them run of the house if we are home and are in an enclosed area when we are not home.
Information Leslie Y. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know, your dog's disposition with other dogs, children, etc. Understand how they are with other dogs will help me anticipate how I need to prepare as approaching another dog. It is helpful also to know their activity level or needs so that we can pace accordingly.
A typical day
Our typical days are with two long walks, morning and afternoon and will let the dog out based on their schedules. I like to give our dogs variety and have them see different environments. We are lucky to border the bike path and the Great Meadows, so we can really vary the walks and make sure that are fully stimulated.

Pet care experience
Your dog’s walk should be the highlight of their day. It’s their time to get outside, explore, and take in all the amazing smells, sights, and sounds the world has to offer. When I’m walking your dog, my focus is completely on them. I don’t wear headphones or earbuds, I don’t walk multiple dogs at once (unless they’re all yours), and I never let dogs off-leash. I choose to be present, attentive, and engaged so your dog has a calm, happy, and safe experience. Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Over the past six years, I’ve fostered 20 dogs through Legacy Rescue in Arlington, and every one of them has taught me something special. I truly love what I do and can’t wait to meet your pup!
Reviews
Fantastic! Very understanding of my in-laws situation that drove an urgent need for a dog walker. We already booked him again.

Leslie is great. He walks my two dogs, one who is an elderly golden retriever and has difficulty getting up and down and my lab rescue. Leslie is patient with my older dog. This is a big help while I am working.

Leslie is such a wonderful, reliable and trustworthy dog walker. Our rambunctious puppy Pumpkin really loves Les and is always so excited to see him! Pumpkin was quite hyperactive during his last visit, and Les took extra time to care for him and get him settled in our home before leaving. Thank you, Les!

Leslie is very nice - it is easy to communicate with him, he is very accommodating to our rambunctious dog, and he is always on time! It is a pleasure to have him walking our dog, Archie :)
