We own a landscape company and firewood business which allows at least one of us to be home 90% of the time. If neither of us are able to be home, it is not normally longer than a couple of hours. We can also adjust our schedule to ensure we are home with the pup 100% of the time if a special need arises. During our time at home while we are working, the pups will still be with us in the home and still receive plenty of attention, play time, a little R&R, but mostly a mini vacation while you’re away.

We will keep them on the same feeding schedule they have with you as we don’t want their little tummies to get upset. If you have special treats you want to bring for them, we’d be more than happy to give them the occasional snack. They’ll be allowed outside anytime they need to go potty or go running around for some play time. Our property is 2 acres, with approximately 0.5 acre backyard that is fenced.

Please let me know of any special needs your baby may have! We’ve got a lot of experience handling most special needs cases so it does not scare us off. Please be sure to bring their food and any treats you may want them to have. We have plenty of dog bowls, antler bones for chewing and lots of squeaky toys, but you're welcome to bring their favorites! If your pup loves their kennel, let me know, I may have the right size so you don't have to haul that big heavy thing around!
A typical day
Understandably every pup has their own idea of fun. Some will play fetch for hours, some prefer a bone to chew, and some just want some peace and quiet. We are able to provide whatever your pup desires. Plenty of space in the backyard (approximately 0.5 acre fenced) for running, playing fetch, chase or even just nose up in the wind (tons of trees so the squirrel watching / hunting is always a must here for pups). As mentioned above, we do have a fenced yard and friendly pups to keep your fur baby entertained for HOURS! Or for the more mellow pup, it is naps galore around here. Either way is no problem for us!

Both my husband and I know how important and sometimes scary it is to leave your fur family member with someone new. I have been dog sitting on Rover since 2015 and I love meeting new fur babies and seeing my regulars! They truly become part of the family. We try to keep with the same rules you have, so if they’re not allowed on furniture or if they sleep in a kennel we will try our best to keep them on your routine! But they will live in our home with us as part of our family during their stay. A little about us: we both grew up in small country towns and were blessed with caring for various fur babies (ranging from cats and dogs to rabbits and horses) and this taught us early on, not only how to care for animals, but how important their love is. We have a few pups of our own, but rest assured (from doing Rover for so long and how often we take them places) they are all VERY well socialized and comfortable with new dogs. No matter if your angel is playful or mellow, we have friendly pups to keep your fur baby entertained for HOURS or if they are on the more mellow side, that is no problem, our babies love naps too! Medical needs: we are experienced with diabetic pups that need insulin shots daily, chemo pups, senior babies that may not move as well as they use to, fur kids that take oral medication daily, incontinence, and antibiotics / vitamins to help them out.
