Quality private care in home
I have cared for pets all my life, let me care for yours in my private, quiet , clean home. I live in a nice neighborhood with a lovely yard. I am close to three very nice parks and a walking trail. I take my dog to one everyday and your pet will join us. I believe in quality of care over quantity so I’m not running a kennel but a warm caring place where no more than two pets would be staying. Your pet will have frequent time out side but will be primarily be safe and comfortable indoors. I live in my home alone so your pet will not be surrounded by strangers or coming and going from a large apartment parking lot. I can give special attention to those with special medical needs or a special diet. I don’t train or groom but can give baths and reinforce any training you are currently implementing. I do not smoke or have cats or children , I do have a Italian Greyhound named Birdie who gets along well with all size animals, she’s a well adjusted snuggler who makes friends easily. Don’t put your pet in a stressful kennel when you just don’t have to.

We used Leslie’s service’s during a recent trip to Kansas City to meet some relatives from Pittsburgh. Leslie did a great job of keeping our 4 month old GoldenDoodle safe and entertained along with her lovely dog Berti a miniature greyhound. Our Pup Sonnie was always anxious to go to Leslie’s and have a play date with Berti. I would recommend Leslie to any Dog Owner needing daycare for their pup in KC.

Not only do I know Leslie to be a person of good character, but, as a dog lover myself, I've been impressed by the way Leslie cares for her own dog. She has given her dog not only love and affection, but attention and structure and education. And she has shown great patience and even-handedness in doing so; she's a good dog parent! Of course, it doesn't hurt that Leslie is the parent of a human child as well, one who turned out well-adjusted and of whom Leslie is justifiably proud. If I had to leave my own dog in Leslie's care I would know that my dog would be in good hands. I'm sure if Leslie's dog ("Birdie") could speak, she would give a testimonial as well!
Leslie often dog sat for me, with my doggo Chula, both at my house and hers. Chula is a rescue with some anxiety issues, and Leslie was great with her! Never had any worries leaving her. Would recommend Leslie 100%. We’re in different cities now, otherwise would still be using her services.
I have known Leslie for several years now and have always seen her as a responsible caregiver for pets. She has owned and loved both cats and dogs. She currently has a beautiful little dog which she takes to dog parks nearly every day. Her dog enjoys the company of other dogs.

I do not work outside my home, I care for pets only.I lead a quiet but active life, no drinking or smoking and am very healthy.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and play pool , also a front porch where we can sit and watch the neighborhood. I go to a exercise class in the mornings and then take my dog and any pet I’m keeping to a park ( rain or shine) we usually stay at the park for a hour or two, sometimes twice a day. If it’s raining to hard or sleeting which is rare we pass on the park . If it’s pouring rain I have a covered area in back for potty brakes. But I really try and get them outside , they sleep so well and are so much happier pets.

A typical day
I take my dog Birdie to a dog park most days, if you are good with that your pet will go as well. My favorites are Leawoof, Penn Valley, Swope and Shawnee Mission is my weekend go to. I also have taken my dog and others to Ikia. Ikia is a great indoor walk for dogs that love interacting with people and learning indoor manners. If the weather is too hot or cold a nice car ride is also fun with possible treat at a drive through if that’s ok.
