Just Like Home Pet Care
I absolutely love this job! I specialize in the little ones - all the various breeds of cats and dogs up to about ~20 lbs. My top two goals in providing care are rather simple - for the pup to feel comfortable and loved and for the owner/parent to not worry about their pets' care while they are away. CARE: The two most common questions I get asked are: Q: Will you walk my dog? A: Of course! The amount I walk is dependent on the individual dog and their interest/needs. Directly to the rear of my building there is miles and miles of paved trails that I and your dog can explore. For dogs with special needs, I have a walkout patio with lots of grass for easy access potty breaks as well as a doggie carriage. Q: Can my dog sleep on your bed? A: Absolutely! Boarding in a new environment can be stressful for dogs so I allow them to nap/sleep wherever they feel most comfortable. (When dogs go home, they go right back to their normal sleeping arrangements and routines).

Leslie was extremely attentive to our little guy. He's senior with sounds of dementia and she made him feel right at home. She's amazing!
Leslie has been taking care of our two pups for a few years now. She is great with both dogs who each have very different personalities and different needs. She makes them feel at home which reduces the stress of being boarded. We will continue to use her in the future!

Leslie is simply the best. She provides top quality care for our sweet pup. She stays in communication with us and sends updates during our dog’s stay as needed. Her knowledge of small dogs and their unique needs is an added bonus. We couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter.

Leslie is the best and our dog loves vacations with her! Leslie spoils her with lots of walks, interactive play, and lots of TLC. We have exclusively used Leslie for all of our dog sittings needs since we moved to Virginia a few years ago. We are moving and will greatly miss having someone like Leslie to watch our dog. Couldn’t recommend her more.

ABOUT ME: As a longtime owner of Bichons who are now over the rainbow, I know that feeling of being excited to go somewhere and simultaneously being a bit nervous with leaving our animal friends. I’ve been a client of both kennels and Rover - I loved that Rover allowed my pets to maintain much of their daily routines and comforts and it's what I strive for with the care I provide. I don't have any pets of my own at the moment, but I can't go too long without a little furry friend on my lap or in my arms, so I decided to try Rover in the summer of 2022. It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made - it's a perfect fit for me. I'm an active participant in pet siting communities, have taken relevant courses and have private pet sitters' insurance in addition to Rovers guarantee.

POLICIES: * I have been predominantly repeat only the past few years but will occasionally open my client list when beloved regulars move. For new clients, I require a meet and greet and prefer the first booking to be solo. It can be a trial overnight or longer stay. I think this helps the pups become comfortable more quickly with me and it also allows me to learn about their personalities and all their fun little quirks. * I only do solo boarding for puppies under 1 year. * I have numerous dog beds, blankets, bowls, toys and two different style crates. I can accommodate your own dog beds, crates, pens, wee-wee pads, clothes, diapers, special diets, etc. * I do not go out for drop-ins or other dog walks, but I do go out for errands and activities so they should be comfortable being left home alone for 4 -5 hours on occasion. *I take up to two dogs. If you see that I am unavailable, please feel free to ask if I can overlap stays for a brief period. * I offer a $15 discount for an additional dog for boarding. The discount is applied to the regular rate as well as the holiday rate. Regular rate: 55/40 Holiday rate 65/50. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your furry family members!

I'm a firm believer that all dogs require mental and physical stimulation- just to varying degrees! I’m most likely to bring your dogs on walks on the beautiful wooded paved trails but I’m also happy to bring your dog along to dog friendly places. I take dogs for walks at Lake Anne, Reston Town Center, Lake Fairfax Park and Great Falls National Park.
