I’m an experienced dog owner and carer, and my own German Shepherd Dog is a certified Pets As Therapy dog, which reflects a calm, responsible, and reliable approach to animal care. I’m comfortable following detailed instructions, maintaining routines, and communicating clearly with owners. Additionally, I also have many years of experience caring for and managing multiple rental and holiday properties, including overseeing maintenance, security, and day-to-day responsibilities.

I care for pets in a calm, secure, and familiar way, always following the owner’s instructions and the pet’s usual routine. Whether in my home or a pet owner’s home, I focus on creating a relaxed environment where pets feel safe, settled, and well cared for. Safety is always a priority. I’m careful with doors, gates, leads, and outdoor access, and I only introduce dogs to new environments or other animals gradually and sensibly. Walks, play, feeding, and rest are tailored to each pet’s needs, age, and energy level. I take trust very seriously. I’m DBS checked through my work with schools, and I can also supply a letter-headed solicitor’s reference from the Principal of a law firm who has known me professionally since 2009. I treat every home and pet with respect, confidentiality, and care, and aim to give owners complete peace of mind.

First time I have ever left our dogs/home with someone I did not know. Lesley made me feel comfortable and safe from our first point of contact. We have a puppy who is quite a handful and I was so worried about leaving him, throughout the whole experience Lesley gave me confidence our dogs would be safe, we had contact throughout the holiday which was lovely. I would highly recommend Lesley and only wish she was available on our next holiday 😔. My home was as left it and fresh milk and bread perfect home coming.
Lesley stayed with my two furbabies while i was away on holiday for a week, Lesley was great in giving me daily updates and sending photos of my girls to settle my mind. I would highly recommend Lesley, having watched my two girls who are anxious and have severe separation anxiety she is experienced and understanding and followed their routine without issue. Lesley is a wonderful person and sitter. She is great with our 2 dogs, who are both very strong and willful.
Lesley has been sitting my two girls in preparation for my upcoming holiday. This allowed Lesley to get to know the girls before hand and she was able to ease my mind in leaving them with her for a week. Lesley is knowledgeable and just seemed to get it when i explained how anxious and particular my two dogs are having never been left before by me. Lesley took the time to listen and the girls took to her right away and are now looking forward to Lesley’s upcoming staycay with them!
Mina had a great two days with Lesley. She enjoyed her walks and going for a little swim. Lesley was reliable and communicative, would book again.

Schedule
House sitting suits my lifestyle well. I work largely from home as a children’s author, which means I’m present throughout the day and able to give pets consistent attention. I enjoy quiet, settled environments, long walks, and spending time in nature, which makes caring for dogs especially rewarding. NOTE: With stays longer than three nights, I will need to bring my well-behaved German Shepherd. He gets on with other dogs, but if your dog does not, then I am not the right fit for stays longer than three days.
