Availability
I'm available to look after your pet Monday to Friday and some weekends. I'm flexible but do try to give myself at least one day off each week. If you have a special evening planned I'm happy to care for your dog in the evening as well. I'll enjoy a good meander around the park with your dog/s. I'll wait for them to finish sniffing before moving on and ensure we have at least two water stops on longer walks and more when the weather is warm. I look after small to medium sized dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs and people and well socialised puppies from one year. The maximum number of bookings each day is 3 unless a repeat pet owner is in need of urgent help in which case I'll accept a fourth booking.

When your dog visits me we'll spend the first part of the day in the kitchen which leads into the garden. I leave the garden door open in nice weather to give your dog free access to the outdoors. We all sit on the garden bench regulary together.I supervise the dogs at all times indoors and out. I have memory foam dog beds and several comfy chairs for your dog to coorie into. I ensure that fresh, clean water is always available. We go for a one hour plus walk once all the dogs have arrived (usually by mid morning). Later in the day we go upstairs to the lounge. Your dog is very welcome to get comfy on the furniture. There's a large window in the lounge for the dogs to look over the garden and adjoining park. They're often fascinated by the view of birds, squirrels and other dogs in this park.

A typical day
I would like to know all about your dog and if there are any games that are favourites I'll whole heartedly play them throughout their stay with me. I can offer frequent access to a small, secure garden that opens onto an enclosed park. Walks to Holyrood park , Hillside crescent ,London road gardens, Calton Hill, Lochend park, Regent road park and Pilrig park are all easily accessed from my home. Mid morning we'll head for a long walk(usually one hour plus). In the afternoon we spend time in the garden together. In the evenings ( while boarding or during evening visits)we have a shorter walk - usually 15 to 30 mins. The frequency and distance of our walks are adjusted according to the needs and preferences of your dog and any adverse weather conditions such as red and amber weather alerts. I offer boarding to my regular daycare dogs and to my less regular clients who's dogs have met and got along well with my daycare dogs.My aim is to familiarise all the dogs who visit me with each other so that when they visit for overnight boarding and daycare they're greeting dogs they feel comfortable with who are their friends 😊

Pet care experience
I grew up with a variety of much loved family pets from tortoises to cats, dogs and a horse. I’ve always enjoyed the company of animals especially cats and dogs. I had my own dog for many years and during this time I also looked after my friends dogs when they went on holiday. I’ve experience administering medication to dogs if that’s required. My background is nursing. My partner Ewen and I brought up our family with the help of our Labrador retriever of 15 years. Ewen has had twelve dogs throughout his life and helped his father who was a vet, look after the dogs who came to their quarantine and boarding kennels. Ewen will be coming along on dog walks a few times each week when not working.I'm ITC qualified to administer dog first aid. I'm available to care for your dogs 24/7. So I can focus entirely on what they would like to do. During daycare I will take your dog on at least one 1 hr walk ( usually 1 to 2hrs plus). The walks are tailored to your dogs needs.During adverse weather conditions I'll reduce the length and number of walks. There will be regular access as required to my garden. I have a private walled and fenced garden with a 6ft gate that leads directly into an enclosed park. It's full of trees and bushes for good sniffs. Your dog will have a warm welcome to my home with plenty indoor room to run around throughout their visit.I'm close to Holyrood and Regent road parks, London road gardens,Pilrig park, Lochend park and Calton hill . Your dog would be coming to a caring, fun loving home with plenty areas in which to play, and coorie in to.
Reviews

My pug always has a great time with Lesley. She comes home happy and relaxed, it’s like her home away from home. I appreciate the detailed updates about her throughout the day.

I'm so lucky to have found Lesley to care for G. He loves his time with her and his doggy friends. Thank you!
Lesley has been amazing so far with Rory! Rory has separation anxiety and I’ve never seen her be so comfortable so quickly staying with a new person. Lesley sent loads of photos and updates throughout the day. Thank you so much!

A home from home for Poppy, we hope to be back again in future.
