I am currently unemployed doing some occasional voluntary work. My voluntary work is a very flexible arrangement so I can forgo this work if your dog requires my undivided attention.

I have an escape proof garden (you can trust me on this one as when I first moved here our little houdini of a terrier initially frequented the neighbours even though the previous owners said it was an escape proof garden!). I like to get as much information as possible about your dog so that I can tend to all their feeding, toileting, exercising and nurturing requirements.

I have grown up with dogs, had our own family dogs, fostered a dog and looked after family and friends' dogs and love being around dogs as often as possible! I have looked after a variety of breeds, our last one being a high maintenance fox terrier! My family and I reared 5 of our terrier's puppies which was a wonderful experience but no mean feat! I have experienced dogs of all temperaments, idiosyncracies and behaviours and enjoy getting to know their specific needs,just like humans. I am a kind and caring person having been a nurse and carer of my elderly mother and elderly dog. I love exploring in the peak district with or without furry friends but of course even more rewarding when a furry friend has enjoyed it too! I look forward to getting to know, care for and tend to your cherished pet's individual needs.

When we dropped Ziggy off with Lesley we could see how relaxed he was with her made us feel we didn’t have to worry and Lesley sent lots of photos via the App each day on his walks we will definitely be rebooking again
We were delighted with the care our dog Paddy received from Lesley. She was kind, caring, and clearly loves animals. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Paddy had a wonderful time, especially enjoying the garden and all the attention he received. We are delighted that everything worked out so well over the weekend. Lesley and family clearly know how to look after a terrier and our dog has clearly had a fantastic time. Could not recommend her highly enough!
Stanley had a great time with Lesley. He had plenty of lengthy woodland walks during his week stay. Lesley kept us up to date with his daily activities with numerous photos everyday so we could enjoy our holiday in peace knowing he was having such a great time. 100% will be using Lesley again should we need to!
