Home from home for furry friends
Dogs have always been a very special part of our lives. Our much-loved Golden Retriever, Blossom, was part of our family for 16 wonderful years. She was a huge part of our lives and brought us so much joy, companionship and love. Losing her left a very big dog-shaped hole in our lives. It was through our love of dogs that we first got into dog sitting, when we began looking after Mabel, a gorgeous Cockapoo, several days a week. We absolutely loved having her around, and when Mabel eventually moved to Ireland, we realised just how much we had enjoyed having a dog in our home again. Since then, we’ve welcomed other dogs into our home and have loved every minute of the experience. Their stay is about much more than just looking after them, it’s about making them feel like one of the family. ❤️

Fantastic service and would highly recommend! Lesley and the family were great at communicating and letting us know how Bracken was doing throughout his stay including lovely photos. He’s a very lively and vocal border collie and they managed this really well with lots of walks and playing. It was really reassuring to know that he was being so well cared for in a home from home environment. Thank you Lesley and family - we wouldn’t hesitate to use you again.
Rosie and family were very accommodating and looked after Indie to a really high standard. No details were missed and every care was taken to ensure Indie was as close to her usual routine as possible. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a sitter in the area
Mabel, my Cockapoo, has been staying with Tom and Rosie here and there for the past 6 months, and she absolutely LOVES it! She is always treated like a little princess and genuinely gets so excited to go and stay with them. The whole family take such great care of her and really treat her as if she were their own dog. She is made to feel so welcome by the whole family, and I know she gets plenty of love, attention and fuss while she’s there. I never have to worry about leaving her with them. Even on the odd occasion when I’ve felt a little anxious, I can just ask for a quick photo or update, and it’s immediately obvious that Mabel is completely happy and in her element! I couldn’t recommend this family enough. They’re incredibly caring, trustworthy and clearly adore having Mabel stay with them. I’m so grateful to have found people I know she is genuinely happy and safe with. ❤️
Rosie and Guy took such good care of Astro, our black Lab , while we were on holiday. He was treated like one of the family and enjoyed lots of lovely, long walks through the countryside.

Schedule
Although I am Lesley, my friends call me Rosie :) Having dogs around fits really naturally into our everyday life. There is always someone at home, either me, (Lesley, known as Rosie) my husband (Guy) or adult son (Tom) so they have plenty of company and never feel like they’re lonely.

We want every dog who comes to stay with us to feel like they’re having a little holiday of their own! 🐾 We’ll keep as much of their normal routine as possible, so they quickly feel at home. Once they’re here, they become part of our family life, with plenty of cuddles, attention, garden time and walks, as well as lots of quiet time for a cosy snooze when they fancy it. We know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else, so our aim is for them to feel safe, loved and thoroughly spoilt while they’re with us. ❤️
A typical day
We have a secure enclosed courtyard, beautiful countryside and fields nearby for walks, as well as a shady riverside route for warmer days. We’re happy to tailor walks, activities and routines to suit each dog, and our aim is always for them to have a happy, comfortable and thoroughly spoilt stay with us. We’d also love teaching them a few new tricks and playing little games, depending on what they enjoy. Most importantly, we’d always follow their lead and make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for while they’re with us!

- Knowing as much as possible about your pet helps us make sure they feel happy, comfortable and settled while they’re with us, and means we can give them the best care possible. 🐾 Love to know their personality, routine, what they enjoy and what they don’t: how they are around other dogs and people, and any little quirks or behaviours we should know about. Just send us a message and we can have a quick call to chat through everything. From there, we can arrange a meet and greet so you and your pet can get to know us too!
