Leslee can care for
Availability
I am currently working from home and have a very flexible schedule. I can drop in to give your dog or cat some attention, play time, and companionship, or I can provide 30 minute dog walks, perfect for a mid-day stretch or happy stroll. If you are leaving town, I can keep your pets comfortable and cared for in your home so you can travel with peace of mind.

Safety, trust & environment
I bring patience, empathy, and many years of hands-on experience to every visit. I understand that entrusting someone with your beloved pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I aim to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable every step of the way.
Information Leslee W. would like to know about your pet
I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages and sizes, but due to my physical limitations I will have a hard time handling a dog that is over 100 lbs.
A typical day
For playful, high-energy dogs (cats too!), I like to get out a favourite toy and engage the dog in play, whether that means playing tug of war or fetch (my own pup is obsessed with her ball!). I pay attention to the dog’s body language to make sure they are enjoying themselves. Dog puzzles are also a great tool for critters who like to give their brain a work out. For older or more laid back pets, I will sit with them and chat in a gentle tone, and offer affection if it is wanted.

Pet care experience
NOTICE: As of 1/10, I am in the process of relocating from N York to the Georgetown/Halton Hill area. To my previous Toronto-based clients: I am happy to offer overnight dog-sitting in Toronto, but will no longer be offering walks or drop-in visits. Reach out to me if you have more questions! I’m Leslee, and it’s so nice to meet you and your furry friends! I am a former English professor who endured treatment for two cancers in 2023-2024, leaving me partially disabled but eager to find meaningful work again. Since adopting my first cat in 2000, animal companions have filled my life with both love and a deep sense of duty and purpose. I currently share my home with my 11-year old mixed breed dog and my 7-year old cat, both of whom remind me daily how special the bond between people and animals can be. All pet-parents will have occasions when they need help giving their companions the exercise, play, and attention they deserve. I aim to create a calm, stress-free experience for your furry friend, right in the comfort of your own home. I have cared for everything from playful puppies and curious kittens to wise senior pets who just need a little extra patience. You can count on me to provide a walk along doggy’s favourite route, some gentle playtime, or quiet company while you are away. I have some experience administering medications and am happy to do so if provided clear instructions. Please tell me about your pet’s personality and quirks; the more info I have, the better I can curate an experience you will both be happy with.
Reviews

We had Leslee come to our house and stay with our little Sadie while we attended a family wedding. She truly saved the day for us so that we could enjoy ourselves and not have to worry. On top of that she helped out my cousin who needed a last minute sitter to walk her dog as she was attending the same wedding. She did double duty and we truly appreciated it! Leslee stayed in touch with me to let me know how things were going and sent pictures of both dogs. I would highly recommend Leslee to anyone in need of dog sitting services. She will be our choice for any future dog sitting needs. Thanks again Leslee.

Leslee did a great job with our dog. Was flexible, provided regular updates and took great care of our home while dog sitting for us.

Leslee was lovely and took great care of our dog, Finn. She shared updates and played with him. She showed up on time and was super flexible and easy going. Our dog really enjoyed her company. Would recommend for your furry friends!

Leslie was absolutely lovely with Izzy and it was very clear Izzy loved every second of it! She was also fantastic and flexible with dates, given the weird scheduling around the holidays that I needed to have Izzy sat for! Would definitely go with Leslie again in the future!
