Hej! I’m Leonie 😊 Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs and also worked as a dog walker while I was studying, so I have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels and routines. Today, I share my life with Birk, my four-year-old rescue dog (Pitbull-mix) and Myrna, my senior cat. Through Birk, I have experience with large and strong dogs, reactivity towards dogs and people and the importance of calm, predictable handling. I have also used Rover as a pet owner myself, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your animal in someone else’s care. I take instructions seriously, communicate clearly and am happy to send photos and a short update after every walk or visit. I adapt each walk and visit to the individual needs. That could mean a calm sniffing walk, a more active walk, or incorporating familiar cues and exercises. I use patient, reward-based handling and would never force interactions with unfamiliar dogs or people. I am comfortable with larger dogs and dogs that may be insecure or reactive, provided that we discuss their behaviour beforehand and have a meet-and-greet to make sure I can handle them safely. Your pet’s safety, comfort and well-being will always come first! 🐶🐱

I am generally available for dog walks and home visits. If needed over-night or weekend care can also be discussed. All care and needs will be discussed beforehand, so that we can set up the best care plan for your pet together.

Leonie is a great dogwalker, we are so happy to have her taking Tofu for daytime walks while we work. Tofu is large and strong, needs a lot of exercise and play. Leonie is comfortable and competent in handling him! Thank you!!
Leonie ist eine Person auf die man sich voll und ganz verlassen kann. Sie hat einen eigenen Hund und liebt ihn über alles, er sie natürlich auch. Ich denke Leonie ist die perfekte Hundesitterin, weil sie sich mit Hunden auskennt, freundlich und sehR geduldig ist. Ihr Hund ist bei Leonie in besten Händen!
Väldigt fin och ödmjuk tjej där genuiniteten skiner genom med en gång! Ska något göras så läggs manken till, inga halvdana fasoner utan det görs med en gång. Utan att hesitera blir slutresultatet alltid i toppklass. Ansvarsfull och pedagogisk är ledorden när jag beskriver Leonie för andra. Hon har mitt fulla förtroende!

Schedule
Availability depends on my weekly schedule. I work full time, but am currently on vacation. On weekends I am generally available. Visits during the week depend on my availability marked in the calendar:)
