Reliable and experienced animal carer
I have many years of experience as guardian of my own dogs, cats as well as small pets, but I also previously worked for a dog walking company doing solo walks, cat and small pet visits and I helped out with puppy classes. I now offer dog walking and pop-in visits for dogs, cats and small animals. I have also experience with farm animals such as chickens, ducks, sheep and pigs, so don't hesitate to ask me if you need pop-in visits on other animals! Since my own dog passed away at nearly 16 years old this year, I can now also offer boarding in my own home for dogs and cats. I'm happy to walk dogs with additional needs such as reactive dogs, senior dogs, puppies, recovering dogs etc. I prefer to walk them in a harness for their own safety and comfort, and I will do my best to make the walk as interesting and enriching as possible! Most of all I want their time with me to be pleasant and stress free! I will need to know if your pets have any special requirements such as dietary needs, allergies, medication etc.

Leo is not only professional but extremely knowledgable with animals. We have cows, hens, dogs and a cat and we’ve always found it so difficult to find someone we trust to look after our very precious animals! As soon as I met Leo, I knew they were all in safe hands. Leo asked if we’d like updates and we said yes, she sent us updates on how everyone was doing and lovely pictures. When we arrived home, the cows were sat right next to the house with her and the dogs were certainly unhappy when she left! We really recommend Leo, she has an extensive history and knowledge of farm and pet animals, her handling and professionalism is second to none. For the first time I felt relaxed and enjoyed our holiday. Thank you Leo.
Leo has looked after our cat several times. She is flexible to fit with what we need, she keeps in touch to let us know that everything’s ok and even sends us pictures, and our cat is very comfortable with her. Leo is very caring and responsible, and I would absolutely trust her to look after any animal.
As a pet sitter Leo has been just what my canine companion and I are looking for. Leo is well organised and prompt with arrangements, confirming details within 12hrs prior to daily visits to ensure good communication and that any changes are taken into account. Leonie's top priority is the welfare and care of your pet. It is apparent she is knowledgeable and has hands on experience with many animal species behaviour, enrichment, training, welfare and first aid. With all this Leonie is able to adapt to every animals individual needs and keeps them comfortable in any situation. I have found Leonie to be very reliable and trustworthy. My house is left tidy and my dog well enriched by her visits.

Schedule
I'm working Monday to Thursdays in my day job (working from home), so on those days I'm unavailable for daytime walks and visits. I may be available for evening cat feeds and visits, so please just sent me a message to find out! Fridays to Sundays I'm available in the daytime as well as for evening visits. Don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions. Please note I can currently only board dogs who are able to be left for short periods of time (1-2 hours) and/or are crate trained.

Safety, trust & environment
It can be daunting to have a stranger come into your home and look after your pets while you're out, but I can assure you I will treat your home with the utmost respect and follow any instructions given by you. I can give updates during/after the visit if required to give you peace of mind. I also have an enhanced DBS certificate.
A typical day
This is depending on the needs of your pet. I can do slow street walks, take them to the park, play with their favourite toys, or just cuddle on the sofa if they're older or injured.

- I will need to know any important information such as medical needs, physical concerns such as injuries/arthritis etc. and dietary needs. Please don't be concerned, I won't be put off by those but it is important for me to know in order to keep your dog safe.
