Availability
After the holidays, I am generally available whenever, except on Tuesday or Thursday evenings. I am willing to pet sit overnight. I am currently looking for science education work. If that appears, my availability will change greatly.

There are several rooms that can be used to separate pets that are not on good terms with each other. There are two litter boxes. There are often other adults around to help out if I can not do something by myself. There is plenty of ground on the property for pets to roam around. Being in the country, there is little chance of running into other pets that might cause harm.

Please let me know of ANY special needs or expectations. Every animal is different. Some are fussy eaters, others are not. Every household is different. Everyone has different standards and routines, and ways of discipline. Don't assume I do the same thing with my pets as yours. I don't inherently know how you treat your pet, what you do together, or what special needs the pet may have. Please explain every expectation you have of how you wish the pet to be taken care of.
A typical day
I love to go for walks with dogs as well as play fetch, tug of war, and tussling. I am happy to pet and give belly rubs to both dogs and cats. I can play with cats with cat toys as well.

Pet care experience
I grew up with pets all around. I've taken care of everything from dogs and cats to goldfish. I've been exposed to my parents' pets and neighbors' pets. Growing up in the country and being used to roughing it, I am not afraid of cleaning pens, scrubbing tanks, and taking long walks in the woods. I am known for repeating back instructions from my supervisors to be sure I get them right. I often write down instructions to be very sure. I use these skills to be competent at administering prescribed medicine to pets. I can also take care of house plants and house sit. I have experience in gardening and house cleaning.
Reviews
Leo has cared for our cats several times over the years - starting in his early teens. In recent months he has house sat and cared for our aging kitty, Mimi. She requires daily medication, including pill popping and mixing in her food. Her food must be warm and moist for easy eating. She really requires patience with her elderly habits. When we return, she is always relaxed and clearly well taken care of. Leo is a kind and caring friend to all of the animals around him. Along with his care for my cats, I observe him regularly with his own dog and cat as well as his family's goats. His good nature as well as his careful attention to the details of any instructions provided make him an excellent pet caregiver.
