I have been passionate about animals for my entire life. I grew up with pets of all kinds, from dogs and cats to ferrets, birds, rabbits, rats, and guinea pigs. In my free time, I love to volunteer at the animal shelter and take adoptable dogs out for shelter breaks. I have experience with a large variety of breeds and temperaments and regularly care for and walk reactive dogs or dogs with other behavioral issues. I have been trained by professional dog trainers about dog body language, behavioral issues, and basic training commands. I have experience with senior dogs, dogs with health issues, and medication administration as well.

I create a safe, calm, and empathetic environment for animals. I grew up with a dog with severe anxiety so I’m accustomed to speaking softly and not making sudden movements if needed. I understand that many pets will be anxious and apprehensive when meeting a new person. Whether they run and hide, bark, or even bite when anxious, I understand that all behavior is communication and should be treated as such.

Leo was absolutely incredible with our dog, and we couldn't have asked for a better sitter. He stayed at our house for a week with our 85-pound pit bull, who is the sweetest lovebug but also comes with a lot of... personality. He's incredibly strong, has the energy of a toddler on steroids, loves to jump on people, has no concept of personal space, and struggles with separation anxiety after being a COVID puppy. He's definitely not the easiest dog to care for. Leo handled all of our dog's quirks and special needs with patience, kindness, and confidence. He kept us updated throughout the week with lots of photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our trip knowing our dog was in such great hands. In the past, we've limited our travel to trips where we could bring our dog because we worried about leaving him with someone else. Finding Leo has been such a huge relief, and it's opened up so many more possibilities for us. We won't hesitate to book him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely care for their pet.
Leo did a great job with our cat. Our cat Polly was calm and happy when we returned and he litter box and feeding area was clean. Leo was punctual, visiting during her feeding times each day and I appreciated his communication.
This was the second time Leo stayed with my dog, Enzo. Leo took great care of him and I felt very confident knowing Leo was there.
I would give Leo 10 stars if I could! I had been looking for a pet sitter who could give care and attention to a small older dog. Someone who would understand the elderly and could communicate with them. From the moment he first visited, Enzo loved him. Leo is very talented at knowing how to "connect" with a dog and is incredibly detailed. He followed everything I asked to the letter. I was gone for 7 days and was out of cell phone range, yet knew I could trust Leo completely to care for Enzo. I will definitely book with Leo again.
Leo has dog and house sit for us multiple times and I would highly recommend him. Most recently, he managed our two dogs with special diets and exercise routines, while keeping the house spotless and providing a steady stream of updates and pictures. 5/5
Leo was on time and kept me updated on Theo. Theo was taken on a long walk and was very happy.

Schedule
I currently work Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm and, depending on your location, I could drop in during my lunch from 12-1pm (exact time is flexible). I have open availability on weekends.
