Your furbaby will be welcomed into a calm, nurturing environment with plenty of space to feel comfortable and safe. I have a fenced backyard for supervised outdoor play and potty breaks, and quiet indoor spaces where they can rest and relax. If your dog is crate-trained and you'd like them to have that familiar space, you're welcome to bring their crate and I'll make sure it's set up as their cozy den. I keep a predictable routine with regular feeding times, walks, play sessions, and rest periods. Your pet will have access to fresh water at all times, and I'm attentive to their body language and needs throughout the day. My 8-year-old and I treat animal guests with gentle respect, giving them space when needed and affection when they're ready for it. I'm also happy to follow any special instructions for medications, dietary needs, or routines that help your pet feel most at ease. My goal is to make your pet feel like they're visiting a trusted friend, not just being "boarded."

Things I'd like to know about: *Any medications, health conditions, or dietary restrictions *How they do with new people, kids, and other animals *What stresses them out or makes them anxious *Their sleep routine and whether they're more playful or chill *Comfort items that help them feel safe (favorite toys, blankets, etc.) *Boundaries around furniture, rooms, or household rules *What commands they know and how you communicate with them The more I understand about your pet's unique needs and personality, the better I can create a peaceful, nurturing experience for them while you're away.
A typical day
Our days are pretty chill and follow your furbaby's rhythm. I love getting outside with dogs whether that's a neighborhood stroll or, with your okay, heading to a nearby trail. My 8-year-old daughter is obsessed with playing with dogs, fetch, tug-of-war, chase games, you name it. She's the main source of active play energy in our house! I supervise to make sure everyone's having fun and it's not getting too wild. I adapt to what your furbaby's needs are and flow from there.

Lulu had such a wonderful time staying with Joy! I got pics every days and felt very great knowing my Lulu was so loved while I was away. Joy was really easy to communicate with and she was very thorough with her care. Highly recommend and would definitely hire again
Our dog’s comfort and safety were Joy’s primary concern. We got a picture of him being snuggled and spoiled while we were away. We are so happy to have found a family to take care of our big pup when we travel.
Joy (LeNita) took great care of my small, elderly dog.
