Having grown up surrounded by animals, from dogs and cats to birds, rabbits, squirrels, and even horses, I’ve always had a deep, natural love for all creatures. When my family moved to New York, we couldn’t have pets right away, but I found other ways to stay connected to animals: caring for friends’ pets, feeding birds and squirrels at the park, and looking after any animals I could. Every other summer growing up, I’d visit my home country, where I made a habit of carrying food to feed stray animals. One summer, I earned the trust of a stray dog who became my companion for several months. When I returned to New York, my family continued caring for her, and she stayed with them as part of the family. In recent years, I helped raise and train a Chow Chow for over a year, teaching her commands, building trust, and helping socialize her. She now lives happily with a family member. At home, my family and I also care for a group of stray kittens that live near our building, we built them a little shelter and feed them daily. I’ve been the go-to cat sitter for friends, family, and neighbors for over six years, and I’ve been dog sitting for the past three on Rover. I’m empathetic, detail-oriented, and always prioritize making pets feel safe and cared for. I also keep pet parents regularly updated with photos and check-ins, so you can feel confident that your furry friend is in loving hands with me.
