Having grown up surrounded by animals, from dogs and cats to birds, rabbits, squirrels, and even horses, I’ve always had a deep, natural love for all creatures. When my family moved to New York, we couldn’t have pets right away, but I found other ways to stay connected to animals: caring for friends’ pets, feeding birds and squirrels at the park, and looking after any animals I could. Every other summer growing up, I’d visit my home country, where I made a habit of carrying food to feed stray animals. One summer, I earned the trust of a stray dog who became my companion for several months. When I returned to New York, my family continued caring for her, and she stayed with them as part of the family. In recent years, I helped raise and train a Chow Chow for over a year, teaching her commands, building trust, and helping socialize her. She now lives happily with a family member. At home, my family and I also care for a group of stray kittens that live near our building, we built them a little shelter and feed them daily. I’ve been the go-to cat sitter for friends, family, and neighbors for over six years, and I’ve been dog sitting for the past three on Rover. I’m empathetic, detail-oriented, and always prioritize making pets feel safe and cared for. I also keep pet parents regularly updated with photos and check-ins, so you can feel confident that your furry friend is in loving hands with me.

Lena has been absolutely wonderful. She is extremely communicative and thorough with her visit feedback. I also appreciate her availability and flexibility. I know my cat is in good hands with her, she makes sure to accommodate play time, cuddles/pets, food and litter care and medicine administration each visit. I feel really lucky to have found her!

Schedule
I recently graduated from university and am currently in the process of job hunting for a full-time role. In the meantime, I’m available full-time throughout the summer for pet care. If I end up in a remote position, I’ll likely still have flexibility to continue pet sitting during the day or evening. I live in an apartment with no pets and one young child, and I’m happy to care for pets either in your home or through drop-in visits. I’ll keep my profile up to date as my schedule shifts, but for now, I have wide availability and would love to help however I can!

Pets are always cared for with the highest level of attention, safety, and love, whether I’m pet sitting, doing drop-in visits, or out on a walk. I make sure animals are well-fed, exercised, and feel comfortable in their environment. On walks, I’m mindful of their safety, energy level, and surroundings, and I always stick to any routines or preferences you’ve shared. I also keep their living space clean, calm, and familiar to reduce stress. I provide consistent and thoughtful updates to pet parents through photos, videos, texts, and even FaceTime calls if requested. My goal is to ensure your pet feels happy, secure, and well cared for, and that you feel at ease knowing they’re in good hands.
A typical day
With dogs, I love taking them on walks, going for light runs if they’re up for it, and keeping them mentally engaged with toys, games, and training-style play. I always bring a variety of toys and adjust our activities based on their energy level and personality, whether that’s fetch, tug-of-war, or a gentle stroll through the neighborhood. With cats, whether I’m hosting or caring for them in your home, I make sure they get plenty of affection, playtime, and attention. I love using wand toys, puzzle feeders, and other enrichment tools to keep them active and curious, while also respecting their space and letting them come to me when they’re ready to cuddle or play.
