I am a graduate student with a flexible schedule. I love spending time with your pets and will give them all of the love. My schedule allows me to be there for your pet during the work day, spend the night with them, and provide exercise. I appreciate open communication about your pet's needs and timing. We understand that each pet is unique, and will work around your schedule! I (Lena) mostly do drop ins or housesitting while my partner, John, stays home with our own animals. He will participate if extra hands are helpful :)

I am willing to work with a variety of animals with different needs. I would like to know ahead of time anything where I need to take extra precaution to keep your pet safe. Things such as particularly good escape artists or chewers who like to munch on household items. :) I am totally able to take on reactive or nervous dogs. I would like to know what kinds of methods you use to help out your nervous pup, such as engage/disengage games, marker words, decompression or whatever ways you help out your pup.
A typical day
I love to go for long walks with pups to favorite local green spaces, or play fetch with toys in the yard for exercise. I can also play sniff games and other enrichment exercises. I often work from home while pet sitting, and otherwise have flexible hours. I would absolutely love to take your dog on a hike or on the long leash to a good sniff spot if this is is something the owner would like and is comfortable with. A typical day ends with a good show on the couch with your pet, or sitting out in the yard with them to catch a sunset. I cater to whatever your pet personally loves, and will spend lots of time making sure your pet is happy (and tired)! :)

I have always been a huge pet lover. I have watched friend’s and neighborhood family dogs frequently since a young age. I can provide care for a variety of pet personalities: lots of exercise and activities for the active pups, as well as love and couch cuddles for the more laid back ones. I am also quite comfortable with nervous and reactive dogs. I have done quite a bit of positive training with my rescue pup. I have a flexible schedule and love going for long walks. I additionally have experience administering medication and can take excellent care of ailing and senior pups. I recently became pet CPR and first aid certified as well. I will be sure to send lots of photos while you're away and communicate all the important things. :)

Lena was absolutely wonderful! Our dog was very happy and relaxed when we returned. And the house was left in perfect shape. She had great communication skills. We certainly hope to use Lena again
Lena was amazing with our two dogs. One of our dogs has some of anxiety and Lena was so patient and made him feel so comfortable quickly. She sent us photos and updates which we love. Highly recommend and we will absolutely use again!!
Lena was great and made us feel so at ease while we were gone! She sent updates regularly, followed all of our instructions to a tee, and our boys seemed very happy with her!
Lena was so great with our animals! Constant updates and videos, 10/10 would recommend and will be using again in the future!
