Dog loving family
The kids are the primary pet sitters at our house (ages 11 and 13) supervised closely by my husband and I. We like to travel so we don’t have our own right now, this means lots of love and attention is given, and we have a big fenced in backyard.

All the positive reviews about Lela and her family are 100% true! When we dropped off our dog, her husband and kids (Lucy and Cole) took such great care of her. They were so kind, welcoming, and lovely. They have an amazing backyard that any dog would absolutely love. Honestly, our dog didn't even want to leave because she fell in love with Lucy and Cole! Both kids clearly know a lot about dogs and how to handle them. Since ours is a 4 to 5-month-old puppy, we were so impressed by how well they understood puppy behavior for that age. We said our goodbyes feeling completely reassured. We would love to leave our dog with them again whenever we get the chance. Highly recommend!

Lela and family were so kind and welcoming to my Lola and Izi when we came into town on short notice to watch them overnight. The pups came back to us tired and happy after playing in the yard with the kids! I felt completely comfortable that both my dogs were safe and cared for by the family. Thank you guys so much!!

Schedule
I work shift work, 30 hours a week, days/nights so schedule varies week to week. Todd has some flexibility and can work from home some.

The kids love to run and play with dogs in the backyard, we go for walks, and lots of love and attention is given. Mostly what we do is care for dogs in our own home. Sometimes we are available for drop in visits or walks, depending on the day.
A typical day
On a typical day we go for walks, play in the backyard. Fetch if your pup is into that, eat and hang out, we have a park close to our house.

- Let us know if your dog has any special needs. We only take care of dogs that are known to be good with kids. We have been doing this for a few years now so have learned to read the needs of the different dogs we care for. Typically we only care for one dog at a time (or siblings) but occasionally we will have more than one if we know the dogs and know they will get along. We truly love the opportunity to meet and care for a variety of dogs.
