My name is Leilanie :) I am serious about the wellbeing of dogs and cats, as I love the cuddly creatures and I exude happiness and positive energy when I’m around them. I have always been around dogs ever since I was a young child, as my family have always been avid dog lovers. There was even one point in time, when I was living with my father, that we owned five beautiful dogs that lived happily in the apartment with us. Currently I now live with my mother, and I own a 11 year old Shih Tzu named Khaleesi, whom I got in 2012 and am the primary caregiver for. Every single day I wake up at 6 am to feed her, then take her out for a 30 minute walk (Khaleesi is now blind but she's still the sweetest pupper and it's really taught me more about special needs dogs) I’ve also worked at three doggy daycares named Dog Days and Cat Nights, Dog Island City, and Doggedly Devoted, at which I was both a dog walker and dog handler and worked for nearly a year at all three. I’ve also worked at a Kennel, Doggy Be Good (moreover I've been doing Wag and Rover since late 2018) Additionally, I’ve volunteered at two pet shelters in Manhattan (Best Friends and Animal Haven, I learned how to administer medication to special needs dogs here and gained valuable weight experience with senior dogs) providing a level of care and occasionally walking groups of dogs, so I am quite experienced with dog-walking and supervision. I’ve also interacted with and took care of cats here. I am an extremely focused individual who always pays attention to my surroundings, and will always keep your dogs and cats in my line of sight (and will be happy to do so) ❤️ -In June of 2022 I adopted my own little kitty who I named Beans! He’s very friendly with dogs as he grew up with them. He’s also friendly with other cats but he hasn’t spent as much time with other cats as he does with dogs. I’m usually free unless I have in person classes at college. I will communicate the dates and times of my classes. I do usually require at least a night before notice before a booking, and a request made less than 5 hours before will incur a $15 fee. Any daycare request that is 12 hours or more I charge as a boarding. At my place I let the them have at it with the myriad of toys I have, and me and my dog keep your baby company :) we play if they’re energetic and lounge around on the couch watching a TV show or movie if they’re lazy/tired 🤍 I take them out on plenty of walks and I also have a gated yard that connects to my building that they can run around in. At a client's home I follow the instructions given to me and whenever possible I’ll get creative with activities!
