I've been on Rover and TrustedHousesitters for almost two years now, providing the opportunity to look after dozens of animals. It was the natural progression as a twenty-something who grew up with a mini French poodle, a schnauzer, four cats, one ferret, and two guinea pigs. My childhood pets gave me unconditional love and support while teaching me to care for animals. When my schnauzer became blind and deaf after a stroke, I learned to take care for senior and special-needs dog, giving me the patience and skills to help dogs of all ages and conditions. Unlike most sitters, I hold a B.S. in Animal Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, giving me a deeper understanding of the lives and needs of animals. Additionally, I've previously volunteered at local dog shelters where I looked after and played with dogs.

When I'm in your house, I will follow the rules you provide and make sure to leave the house the same, if not better, than when I first arrived! I know the exhaustion that comes with traveling home after a trip and I want to ensure you have a nice and clean house when you return.

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Bucky! She was incredibly loving and attentive, and it was obvious from the moment we met her that she genuinely cares about dogs. Throughout the day she kept us updated with lots of photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind and made it clear that Bucky was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Leilani was amazing at watching our kitty while we were away for the weekend! I get so nervous leaving her, but she provided so many updates and pictures which made me feel super at ease. I highly recommend Leilani!

Leilani was very attentive to Artemis’ needs and made sure that he had a good company while I was away. She was very communicative and flexible, and I would definitely have her look after Artie again :)
Leilani is a wonderful dogwalker. When she came for a meet and greet, Junie liked her right away. Leilani listened carefully to all instructions and was warm and friendly. She walked Junie three times in two days, sending pics and updates each time. She seemed to enjoy her time with Junie, and made sure to give Blue some love too while she was here. I will absolutely request Leilani to care for Junie and Blue in the future.
Lelani is amazing and went beyond our expectations to love on Cash! She sends the most amazing updates with photos and loved ones our boy so much. It made having to be away so much easier. She left our place spotless, which was a surprising plus.

Schedule
I work 4 days remote as a Regulatory Specialist for a state department. As such, I am available most days and have a lot of flexibility to drop in on your beloved or take them on a stroll. When I'm not working, you can find me working out, reading, doodling, crocheting, practicing yoga, and hopefully taking care of your fur baby!
