Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I already work part time at a doggy day care, so I’m around animals regularly and used to handling different personalities and energy levels. I’m available all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Tuesdays, which gives me plenty of time to focus on pet sitting, walks, and keeping pets on their normal routines.

I care for pets in a safe, calm, and structured environment. At my home, I have a fenced yard for secure outdoor time and two friendly dogs that can provide company if your pet is comfortable around others. I also have a large, comfy crate available if a dog needs their own quiet space to relax or rest. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their own environment while maintaining their normal routine. I make sure they are safe, supervised, and given plenty of attention, including walks, playtime, feeding, and any specific care instructions provided. My goal is always to keep pets feeling secure, cared for, and stress-free whether they’re in my home or theirs.

This includes things like their daily routine, feeding schedule, allergies, medications, behavior around other dogs or people, and any triggers they may have. I also like to know their energy level and personality so I can adjust walks, playtime, and downtime to match what they’re used to. This helps me keep them safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owner is away.
A typical day
A typical day with pets starts by making sure they’re comfortable, fed, and settled into their routine. I like to begin with a walk to help them get their energy out and get some fresh air. Depending on the dog, I’ll mix in playtime like fetch, tug-of-war, or simple training games to keep them mentally stimulated and engaged. Throughout the day, I make sure they have plenty of attention, potty breaks, and time to relax. I also enjoy incorporating calm bonding time like belly rubs, brushing, or just hanging out so they feel safe and cared for. If the dog is energetic, I’ll keep them active with more play; if they’re older or more relaxed, I adjust to slower walks and quiet companionship.

I grew up dog sitting for my neighbors, friends, and cousins as I've always had a known strong passion for animals my whole life. I currently have an older Chihuahua, so I understand how to be extremely gentle, patient, and attentive to comfort, slower movement, and health needs. I also have a young, very active Yorkie that I personally trained to do tricks like speak, play dead, and give paw, along with other basic obedience skills. This has given me experience with consistency, positive reinforcement, and keeping energetic dogs mentally stimulated. I’m comfortable balancing both calm, gentle care for senior pets and structured, engaging attention for younger, active dogs.

Leilah is extremely passionate about animals and goes above and beyond to ensure my dog receives the best care possible. She consistently arrives 15 minutes early and my dog is extremely excited to see her because of the personalized care she brings. On one occasion I had to schedule a walk less than 24 hours in advance and she was more than happy to help. I can’t stress enough how grateful I am to have such a good pet sitter at my disposal! I’d highly recommend to anyone who wants someone who’s highly motivated, experienced and far exceeds expectations!
