Availability
As a graduate student taking classes online, I have a flexible schedule and am home throughout the day. This means your pet will have company whenever they need it, whether that’s playtime, snuggles, or just a calm, reassuring presence nearby. I can closely follow their usual routines, ensure they feel safe and comfortable, and provide them with the consistent attention they deserve. On the rare occasion I’m not home, my partner -who also adores animals - can step in, so your furry family member is never alone. Pickup & Drop-off Hours: Pickups and drop-offs are available only between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. If those hours don’t work, I can provide a pickup/drop-off service for an added fee, or we can arrange for your dog to arrive or depart the night before or after your booking.

I don’t have pets of my own, which means your dog gets my full attention, love, and care while they’re with me. I love taking them along on my day, whether it’s a stroll or lounging together in Central Park and Riverside Park, or tagging along on errands. For me, your dog isn’t just a guest; they’re my little companion for the time we spend together. My Midtown location also makes pick-ups, drop-offs, and visits easy and stress-free. When your pet is in my home, I make their comfort, safety, and happiness my top priority, ensuring they feel loved, relaxed, and truly at home. Property Policy: While I fully understand that accidents can happen, owners are responsible for compensating any significant damage to my property (e.g., broken furniture or fixtures).

Information Leila B. would like to know about your pet
I live on the first floor of an apartment building, so I CANNOT host dogs who bark frequently—especially at hallway noises or when left alone. Separation Anxiety Policy: I’m unable to host dogs with significant separation anxiety unless this is discussed before booking, so I can plan to be with your dog full time. In these cases, rates may be adjusted to reflect the additional care and time required. If your dog cannot be left alone at all, house sitting may be a better fit to ensure their comfort and safety. To make sure your pet and I are a great match, please share: What does a typical day look like for your dog? How often do they need to be fed and walked? Are they housetrained and crate trained (if applicable)? **If your dog uses a crate at home, I HIGHLY encourage you bring your crate during a boarding. It will help your pup feel much more settled and comfortable! Do they bark at outside triggers (skateboards, bikes, horses, etc)? Are they friendly with other dogs on walks? How do they react to new people? Do they prefer constant attention, or are they more independent? Do they have any medical needs, allergies, or take medications? Are there any behaviors I should be aware of (e.g., chewing, play biting, etc)? Knowing these details helps me provide safe, loving, and consistent care—and ensures a smooth stay for your pup and peace of mind for you!
A typical day
I LOVE walks just as much as dogs do, so we’ll spend plenty of time exploring! Central Park is my favorite spot, but sometimes we’ll head over to Riverside Park for a scenic stroll by the water. At home, we’ll play games like fetch or tug, and I’ll make sure your pup gets plenty of attention and love throughout the day. And when we’ve had our fill of fun, it’s time to relax together, cuddles, pets, and quiet moments are always part of the routine. I like to make every day feel joyful, safe, and full of companionship, so your dog feels happy and cared for while you’re away.

Because Pets Deserve Family!
Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Leila! I’m a born and raised New Yorker who recently returned from teaching in Spain, and I’m thrilled to be back on Rover full-time. Caring for pets has been a passion of mine for over 10 years. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and energy levels, tailoring my approach to each animal’s unique needs. I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs and administering medications on schedule, ensuring every pet stays happy, healthy, and comfortable. I don’t have pets of my own, which means I can dedicate my full attention to your furry family member. Whether it’s long walks through Central Park or Riverside Park, playtime, cozy cuddle sessions, or even joining me on errands, I aim to make every moment safe, joyful, and comforting. While they’re with me, they’re genuinely my little companion! For me, it’s more than sitting - it’s building a connection, giving peace of mind, and treating your pet like family.

Reviews

Leila has watched my dog a few times now and she is great! She was very accommodating during a family emergency recently which we really appreciated. She always communicates very clearly and is reliable!

Excellent sitters! Reliable and trustworthy. Great communication. They were thoughtful and thorough during the pre-boarding process, and were attentive to the needs of our dog during his stay. Highly recommended!

I would have added two more stores if the review system allowed. Leila is amazing, and took great care of Lucy and Sven. She updated us regularly with pictures, and took great care of them. The amazing care she provided for Lucy and Sven allowed us to enjoy or short time away even more - as she knew how much we missed them and how difficult it was to leave them for a few days. Thank You so much for your sincere and amazing care of our four legged family members - amazing!

Leila has watched my dog twice now. She is very responsive and reliable, and I can tell my dog is well taken care of. I get a lot of updates and pictures, which I appreciate. I’ve already booked another stay with Leila for the next time I’m away.
