Leila was punctual, communicative, and kind with my cats, and she kept up with their normal routine and litter box. Unfortunately, I had several concerns with the care provided that ultimately led me to end the booking early. One of my cats has very specific feeding instructions because she is prone to vomiting if she eats too much or too quickly. I provided these instructions both verbally during our meet and greet, in writing, and booked her for a night where I was still there (before leaving them alone) to show her how I feed her. During the booking, she vomited multiple days, and when I asked about how she had been fed, I wasn’t confident that the portions had been divided according to the instructions. I was also concerned when I saw in the pet cameras that my other cat had gone over to the sick cat’s bowl and was eating her food, to which I let Leila know, who asked me whether she should stop her. Since their food is individually portioned, especially with one cat already having difficulty keeping food down, I expected a sitter caring for cats to recognize that they should not be allowed to eat each other’s meals. This also meant I could no longer know how much food my sick cat had actually eaten or kept down. After my cat continued vomiting and had not successfully kept a meal down for over 36 hours, I became increasingly concerned about her. I asked Leila if she could add another check-in that evening so she could be monitored, but she was unable to do so. When I learned the following morning that my cat had vomited again, I no longer felt comfortable continuing the booking and arranged for our regular sitter to take over the remaining visits who was finally back in town again. I also returned home to find two areas of dried vomit that had not been cleaned up, and the apartment had a strong odor. I appreciate that Leila was punctual and communicated with me when problems occurred, but I was not comfortable with the level of care and judgment shown around feeding and the repeated vomiting. Unfortunately, we were not a good fit.

Leila was AMAZING. I really appreciated how she was able to communicate with me so much as she checked in with Lola! This was my first time leaving her by herself so that check in with Leila was much needed. I am literally rebooking her right now! Leila thank you so much for making Lola feel special and really paying attention to her needs while you were there! Lola will see you soon 💖

I’ve known Leila for several years, and anytime I've needed someone to care for my dogs, she’s the first person I think of. She’s always been easy to reach, communicative, flexible, and goes above and beyond to make sure my dogs feels comfortable and cared for. Leila has been incredibly caring, responsible, and attentive with our Jack Russell, Artie! She treats him with so much patience and love, making sure he feels safe and comfortable. Artie needs lots of attention throughout the day, and Leila always comes in with full energy and provides that! You can tell she genuinely cares and pays attention to the little things, which gives a lot of peace of mind when trusting someone with your pet.
